Basically i want to "split" my z-5500 speakers into 2 2.1 sets , one for my PC (coax) and the other for my PS3 (optical).

What i want to know if it's it possible to inverse the speakers when i switch from one platform to another. What i mean by that is that i want rear right and rear left to become front right and front left (and vice versa) without having to manually switch the wires behind the sub. In other words i want to inverse the channels.

Can it be done with drivers or software ? Looked through the options but didn't find anything unless i missed something.

Depends on your soundcard... and you'd have to have the PS3 optical coming into the PC.

The Z5500's cant do this alone.

I was trying to get my 360 sound coming into my PC which has a optical input via the motherboard, but I can't get the sound out of my computer speakers, I could probably get the motherboard speaker to play it tho right lol

You can probably mute (or unmute) the optical-in somewhere in the (recording) volume controls. Otherwise you'll have just have to look for an option to playback the optical-in. What kind of soundcard is it? If on-board, which chip exactly? Most probably Realtek, but a type would be good Wink

You can do that by hooking it up to the graphics card and conecting the card via S/PDIF for audio, Nvidia don't have onboard audio.

Those cables cost me $75 so I just said screw it. Returned them with a quickness. I have onboard Realtek audio with optical-in. My video card doesn't have optical-in
