is it just me..or do ALL movies now a days suck..

it seems they all share the same madlibs fill in the blank script..just fill in the type of setting, and actors.

its:
some geeky/dorky/outcast/rebel guy is a loser (on his own..or with other actors).
he wants this hot chick that doesn't know he exists.
some major events happen causing them to get caught up in the action.
insert large amounts of useless chick ass shots, add massive amounts of overly blurred CGI or useless slow-mo CGI.
the guy saves the day. girl falls in love with him..end story.

take that plot, fill in the scene, the enemies, and the actors..and you got every movie made in the last 6 years!

hot chick...check
ass shots...check
blurry CGI(transformers 1) slow mo CGI (transformers 2)...check
guy saves the day and girl falls in love with him...check

I grew up with transformers...to me michael bay did nothing but bend over the transformers rape them for a few hundred million...and wipe off afterwards with the paycheck.

I left 1/2 way thru the movie when I realized I watched 45 minutes of it..and 30 minutes of it was her ass in the camera, him hitting on her, and them having "i like you as a friend...but who knows what world event may change my mind" situations.

actually district 9 and gran torino was actually pretty good.

avatar has the same plot.but they dont fall in love its that old played out "rebel without a cause loose gun, proves hes worth his merit and make everyone think twice about judging him he saves the day everyone loves him" plot

You're obviously referring to Planet Terror, which was directed by Robert Rodriguez.

Inglourious Basterds is nothing like it. There's only one or two scenes with gore shown.

Also no chicks, ass shots, shitty CGI.

Same with Moon.

Yes cause a good movie = original plot and not good filmmaking that comes second or wait, its the other way around.

I know of this movie with undead that crave blood , but strangely they behave themselfs , it's about a family of vampires that's been hinding in some small rural town . The thing is they don't mind the sunlight and usually sparkle like champagne.And even if their hearts are full of evil all they want is to be loved and to love ..

well just dont watch stupid ass hollywood movies with a huge advertising budget.

I havent seen avatar, district9, 2012, transformers2 or whatever. Because, well cgi and stuff, all the same.

Movies i watched lately:
Gran Torino
Food inc
City Island
Taking of pelham 123 (kinda sucky though)
revolutionary road
milk
the hangover
reader
changeling
...

It is just your selection that is bad. If you go to movies that are promoted all the time, you will end up in mindless cgi-crap most of the time.
