How to Use a PS3 Controller on a PC with USB

Quote:
One industrious modder out there has created a simple program so you can use your PS3’s SIXAXIS controller on a PC like a game pad. Here’s what you’ll need to do:

1. Download this archive and install the filter driver (libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1.exe).
2. Unpack ps3sixaxis_en.exe
3. Plug the SIXAXIS into your PC.
4. Run ps3sixaxis_en.exe once.
5. Push the PS button on the SIXAXIS once if it doesn’t see it straight away.

Unfortunately, the motion sensing features aren’t possible on the PC (not yet as least). But still, this is pretty easy way to net yourself a free usable game pad.

For the Bluetooth capabilities you still need those drivers posted above but also these;

* Bluetooth dongle! duh!
* PS3 Controller (Sixaxis or Dualshock 3)!

- Then, download these files:

* Libusb32 drivers (USB address finder thye must be installed in Winxp sp2/3 Compatibility mode with Administrative rights) Link
* BtSix 1.5c (credits to 89ron) {your BT drivers for PS3 sixaxis bluetooth}Link
* Microsoft Visual C++ Library (when you get Application error for BtSix): Link
* PPJoy 0.83 (configures buttons): Link
* FreeBT driver rel. A3 (allows BtSix to access dongle, Optional): Link

I plugged my controller in my PC to charge it and Windows 7 recognized it just fine without having to install any drivers. Maybe you could add that info. Smile

No it i probably not. I haven't tried it out, as my PC doesn't have BT. But the linked file is 3 years old, and the last time I checked (a year ago or so), wireless was NOT possible. Only via USB connection.
So I highly doubt this will work with BT.

If you actually want to use it, you need still to install drivers.

I once tried playing NFS:Shift with Sixaxis control, it was horrible Razz
