Which is why i wonder, wether their revenue is even going to be any good...
maybe they have even raised the price, because 1k or 1,5k is probably the same difference to those who'll buy it

I can actually see some DJ's who use their computers investing in something like this. With the key's being able to play GIF's at least, you could do some trippy strobe shit with the key's.

  • I does not matter which keyboard layout you use, it will always show the right keys
    • maybe japanese for example gets easier to use?
  • maybe your able to see the keys glowing in the dark Very Happy
  • you might be able to rearrange all keys to your likings, i don't know
  • as a gamer you could use a 'reload'-pic for r in FPSs or a potion for RPGs Razz
  • you could create extremely nerdy and fanboyish keyboards, making it look like a i dont... star trek keyboard? with symbols not known to mankind instead of chars
  • hitting shift shows uppercase keys doesn't it? you could actually find special chars by looking instead of applying trial & error Wink
  • YOU COULD SHOW OFF!
  • maybe your able to invoke braindamage when used in a particular way...

Now you want it, ey? Laughing

btw. noticed the nested list entry? i think i am entitled to one of those keyboards Laughing

EDIT: just thought of another thing.
You could show a movie on your keyboard, if the gifs are applied well! xD

Gotta admit that is cool - the price doesn't justify itself though. For $1500 I better get a lot of sex anytime I want. The keys aren't even arranged in a natural keyboard layout. Wouldn't want to get upset with your keyboard in this case or you might electrify yourself Wink

i seriously considered putting down the cash for this thing (it's actually not that much if you can write off 40% from your taxes plus the resale value should be alright if you treat it well) - but ultimately, it fails in the 2 most important categories:
1. keystroke: according to serveral reviews, it's shitty and simply far too heavy. for this kind of money, i want a jack of all trades device - and not having to pull out my good old dinovo for everything that exceeds a little forum entry, let alone writing a 10 page paper. and fuck knows how it responds for example in an FPS where fast finger action is required.

2. the oled displays. sure it looks good in complete darkness, but who the hell works with the lights out? and while the display quality is fine (don't care about the framerate), this pic kinda ruined it for me

i know there are technical limitations and you can't make the displays completely seamless, but the transitions between the oleds and their borders could have been made much less noticeable. and why are there only standard square displays on the shift/tab/space etc keys? it makes these parts look kinda shitty - and at that pricetag, there shouldn't be any compromises.

My Dynex keyboard from Bestbuy for $25 works just fine. I see no need to spend anything more than that on a keyboard.
