I finished it this weekend. I liked Dungeon of the Endless better. It was grittier, mechanically more interesting and more varied.
Endless Dungeon feels dumbed down. I don't have anything to say about the whacky characters, but I was bothered by the lighthearted narrative. The heroes are fewer in number with no melee options. The progression is not as complex as it was in the previous game which makes the repetition feel less rewarding.
The game is polished with crisp graphics and a nice attention to details. The gameplay is an engaging and easy to understand mix of tactics and action, but lacks the depth required for a serious rogue-lite. It's not a bad game and it's probably better in coop, but it could have been so much more than this.
