I gave the isodemo a whirl hoping to find something akin to Salt and Sanctuary (which I loved), but this Sacrifice is a rather awkward sequel that tries to do many things differently just for the sake of it - while often missing the mark, sadly.
Levels are no longer organically interconnected and are replaced by hubs, both the progression and boss encounters are now Monster Hunter-esque which trivializes the exploration and incentivizes farming, the melee combat itself feels artificially clumsier. The art style is largely the same, though it's less dark and definitely less atmospheric overall. Co-op players will probably find the changes appealing but as a forever_alone solo player, it feels like a downgrade from the first game in almost every way. You can keep it Timmy/10
The scene sadly is at their lowest point, but there are a few P2P releases around (Elamigos, DODI, etc). Alternatively you can get it from ol' Rin as always with Epic and/or standard non-D-ridden stuff
First I thought it was due to running an older version, but now even with the latest (1.0.0.7) version is the same thing: armor/accessory/weapon descriptions are missing and it's driving me nuts. Is this a cracl issue or...?

They should have renamed the game to "The rag-doll simulator"..
The most infuriating part of the sequel is getting hit and flying left and right and again getting hit, and again flying around like a..rag-doll.. wtf
I think I'll stop playing it for the time being... I don't get what happened.. They had a perfectly working formula..but no..they just had to make questionable if not game-breaking changes..
