Then I don't see how what Activision did was wrong.

I'm with consolitis on this one, however, its not as if their games sell anymore. I do belive they might force them to close since they could be planning on releasing them using updated stuff just like what was done with Monkey Island (well...tbh I don't belive it - its more of a dream from me that they actually do this!).
But as long as the games are theirs they arent really doing anything that makes them deserve the "gestapovision" mocking (atleast not in this case)
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

People ASSUMED it was ok to put up old titles and call them abandonware. Thats pretty much why they appeared on sites. They thought that it would be okey just cos the game was old.

Yes how dare they make these games available for legal purchase 
Are The Godfather movies abandonware too? I mean they're so old, it makes sense to me.

By definition Abandonware wasn't just old games, it was games no longer commercially available.

Indeed but those that are upset by GOG, etc have forgot that the term abandonware and these sites were created because there was no other way to experience these games anymore since you couldn't find a copy of them to purchase and instead they choose to remember the term meaning "old game? I am entitled to get it for free JUST BECAUSE!" and they're now upset that they can't anymore.

To be fair, they left sarien.net alone for almost two years.
Epsilon: Game is great btw, I love it, so far it's a definite goty. It's remarkable how much has changed since the beta, stardock have been working their asses off, and it shows.

Yes, the "good devs" want you to play their games for free and won't make them available on GOG for purchase, no sirrr, never. Only the "asshole bean counters" would do that.

it is a perfect deal but they could've done it themselves and host free html5 games w/o any problems. it's really surprising. prolly kool works for them and it was all a ploy to get more advertising for him and the site. I personally never heard of it until this shit went down.
