Coming out of CES is a peripheral developed by Razer and a company called Sixense, that'll bring thatmotion control you know and love from such consoles as the Wii, to your PC. The thing here is that both John Carmack and Valve seem to be on board. Valve's going to be showing off Left 4 Dead 2 being played with it, and there's a video over on RPS with Carmack telling everyone he's impressed.

I just don't want motion controls. I don't care for it, I'm not interested in it, and if it's not a feature I can "turn off" in the options menu of a game, I won't buy the game. It just feels to me like this is the latest 'hotness' that everyone is trying to climb aboard, and I for one just don't care about it.

hmmm... no thanks I like my mouse and keyboard on my pc.
if valve and john carmack are so happy with it they should go make wii games or something.

I don't see something like this ever winning over a meaningful following on pc.

I also think it's useless... Most of the PC gamers are sitting about 12-20 inches infront of their screen. I don't want to hit my LCD screen.

Looks like two larger wiimotes to me. Also looks gimmicky when playing L4D2. If they made it practical I think it'd be awesome. All it'll lead to is a plethora of plastic piece-of-shit shell controllers that you attach the controller to - just like the wii.

looks like playing with two black penises. I like it Laughing

seriously though, the lag seen with the sword would be one reason to dislike it. The Wii controller can be awesome in games, but it can also be really bad. It s all a question of implementing it properly.
If it is optional in games and the controllers are cheap, i m happy. If not, i ll stick with playing with real penises for the time being Very Happy

True I'd rather sit at my desk, motion controls are made for family time/events and for the living room not in a office.

I like bum.

What gamer loves this? I reverted back to the classic controller wherever i could as the normal wiimote is gargabe and nothing more than a gimmick imo.
The new addon for that things makes it alot better though, if i think about Wii Resort...

if mount&blade will support this i'd be quite willing to spend a few dozen bucks for it
but i doubt there's any wide interest for it
motion controllers are useless for shooters

Until they come up with controllers that have accurate impact simulation, my interest is at zero no matter who's hyping them.

And even with physical feedback, they'd need to support games like GTA where you could use a lead pipe to bash someone's face in. Cool Face None of that casual wii shit.
