 |
So after getting my system running in my lian li's cramped space and looking for a new case, I searched high and low, I wanted something massive that had decent cable management, normally I love lian li and no one has the build quality of perfection that they do but to be honest, their cable management without hacking the case up is absent.
So I ordered a new case.
Corsair 800D Obsidian Series (still feels like a normal lack luster case for the price, imperfect rivets, floors/doors not lined up perfect..again why I love lian li)
I had no idea the that the sheer size of this thing was going to allow me to crawl into it's own universe for a dinner party with the inhabitants. With that being said, their was....a lot of breathing room, my computer was getting bored with all that space.
I'm an avid fan of milliondollarpc.com and the case modders' beautiful work and I need a project to keep my mind of shit so I decided I've got the spare room I'm going to go full out. I'll do an AMD dragon themed build. With plenty of help over at overclockers.net I've got the following components picked out so far
These to mount the alunimum sheet im cutting up to cover the bajillion holes in the 800D.
Black Ice XFlow 360 Radiator
240 Radiator
Laing DDC Pump w/ modified top
EK HD5850 Block
EK Surpreme HF CPU block
Danger Den Fill Port
Bitspower resevoir
To do all this modding and fun I just picked up these kits..
I'll be using Feser 1/2" ID Tubing with barbs. I'm still deciding on which platoon of fans I'll be wanting to order.
I also ordered some single cable sleeving from MDPC-X in Red and Black
That'll be coming this week hopefully so pictures and build log as I go
