man , the game had some great elements in it , the one i loved was the voiceover work while loading and having low health , brilliant stuff oh and the overall the voicework was excellent
gritty and violent game , too bad it went south at the havana level , friendly AI was fucking retarded and somewhere the story got disconnected since i was expecting a more dramatic ending or at least a more dramatic tone.

loved the story and characters tho , great potential but good or mediocre execution
btw , where the fuck is Hitman 5? (it better fucking be Contracts 2-ish )

Summary:
Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days is a raw and brutal crime shooter, which takes core gamers and entertainment fans on an intense and unforgiving action story, following two of gaming’s most authentic and realistic criminals through the gritty Shanghai underworld.

Story:

After a simple job goes wrong, Kane and Lynch find themselves wanted by the entire Shanghai underworld. Lynch is living the good life as a henchman in Shanghai, where he has settled down with his girlfriend. He's involved in a big arms deal but needs help to make it happen. Kane is a wanderer, an ex-mercenary with family problems who needs to get away. Despite their differences, Lynch calls him for help. Once together, they set-off a chain of events over two days, as the deal falls apart and Kane and Lynch face the consequences the hard way.

Product Features:

Raw, Real & Uncut – Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days introduces a unique, unseen visual style to video games. Taking visual references from documentary filmmaking and the user-generated era, Kane & Lynch 2 deliver a sense of intense realism never before experienced.

Two Men Working Alone – Two of the world’s most reprehensible criminals - Kane, a disillusioned ex-mercenary and Lynch, a self-medicated psychopath – return to survive an onslaught of frantic action.

Two Sides to Every Story – This time players will play as Lynch and follow his story; he has found peace in Shanghai, a city that’s opened its doors to the seductive capitalism of the west… and he’s right in there, taking advantage of it; he’s making money and is about to make a fat deal where the pay is beyond his wildest dreams and nothing is going to get in his way.

West Beats East – A gangsters paradise, Shanghai is the perfect playground for expat criminals such as Lynch; seduction and corruption highlight the contrasts of the city as players fight through the seedy underbelly of Shanghai – a juxtaposition of old-world and new-world ideals ripe with black market opportunities for Kane and Lynch to exploit and reap rewards from.

Features and Modes:

Down Not Dead – Adding further intensity to the frenetic gameplay, players will have a second chance at taking out their enemies; Choose between continuing the gunfight from the ground or try to escape by crawling towards cover.

Online Co-op – Grab a friend and play either cooperatively or competitively.

Fragile Alliance – The highly celebrated multiplayer experience returns with a collection of new and improved modes.

wouldnt bet on that

David Bateson hasn't even recorded his voicework for 47 yet , or started doing it this year which only means they are in early stages of production since voicework is usually done before the game takes real shape.

read these previews , pretty promising stuff .. really interesting approach , hopefully it'll work out

i loved the first game as it was and as it is , but this one going to be something different, also you will not be able to control both of the characters, but the spot light will be on pure action and i think i am fine with that..actualy more then fine:)
also the camera will be strange..it will be like the game pov is from secure camera and when fight will take a place , they say that you will feel like the camera man traying to find cover too..like someone is shooting the game and effected by the events.

I just hope they fix the gunplay.

Firing guns in the original was underwhelming.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

many hated the previous game mainly for "omfg graphix suxx" or that the aiming didn't feel right, I got through that, and I found the execution to be quite great, characters charming and interesting (I can only relate to Lynch though)

No offense, but you really don't know what you're talking about here. Many production companies don't even hire a sound director until near the very end of game development. This is generally done as a cost-saving procedure incase the game fails early on in development and it has to be scrapped.

Almost every other element of a game can be reused or changed to fit something else (code, art assets, concepting, story, etc.), but voice acting is generally completely useless for any game except the one it is intended for.

Looks damn nice indeed Smile I have to say that Kane & Lynch 1 was pretty damn cool and there wasn't really anything wrong with the story or concept just that the execution was somewhat bad. Hopefully they will have fixed all the issues with the first one so that we can get a really sweet co op game
