Grim Dawn is an action-RPG for the PC currently being developed by veterans of Iron Lore Entertainment, the creators of Titan Quest. The game is set in a thematically-dark fictional world loosely inspired by the Victorian Era on earth. Grim Dawn is being developed with the same tools and technology used to create Titan Quest. As a spiritual successor to Titan Quest and proud Diablo-clone, Grim Dawn will carry forward the best gameplay of this genre while bringing a few focused innovations and improvements of our own to the table.
Players will be thrust into the dark, war-torn world of Cairn where a once proud empire has been brought to ruin and the human race driven to the edge of extinction. Cairn has become ground zero of an eternal war between two otherworldly powers, one seeking to use human bodies as a resource, the other intent upon destroying the human race before that can happen. This cataclysmic war has not only decimated human civilization but is warping the very fabric of reality and, in its wake, giving life to new horrors.
For humankind it is the dawn of a grim new age where iron has replaced gold as currency and the importance of salt as a weapon makes it far too valuable to waste on food. Small enclaves of human survivors exist scattered throughout the world, holed up in hidden refuges. These humans have quietly watched the warring invaders destroy one another and have become wise to the strengths and vulnerabilities of their otherworldly foes. A few survivors have begun to exhibit strange new abilities after surviving possession or exposure to the warp. These unnatural powers are feared by some but give many new hope of launching a resistance to fight the "outsiders" and reclaim what's left of their world.
Epsilon: Game is great btw, I love it, so far it's a definite goty. It's remarkable how much has changed since the beta, stardock have been working their asses off, and it shows.
Titan Quest is my very favorite arpg aside Diablo 2, and it's still on my hdd.. I still think that closing Iron Lore was fucking terrible and cruel drama - considering what great game TQ was :[
Anyway, this will be interesting.. i especially like the gore part :]
Hm the price tag looks more like a budget title - it's rather low (like torchlight) rather than a full - massive title like TQ. Or it's just lower because the game it's in very earlier stage..
Yeah, you're gambling on the game being any good or even getting released.

Will probably go for one of the pre orders as soon as they release some more info + pictures. Kinda difficult pre ordering something right now that you haven't even seen anything from.
I decided to bump this one as Media section at official web site have been updated for a couple of times now. There are new screens and ambient soundtrack
Looks awesome! Makes me want to play TQ again. BTW - can you play the tq expansion without a max level char? My savegames got wiped before i played the exp and i seem to think there was something about you couldn't start it from Level 1

Nope, expansion levels are only accessible after completing the main campaign. But all new expansion's features are available from the beginning plus you can create a character with Dream mastery, a little bit overpowered IMHO, but that said no new characters should be crated without it
Maybe, there are some hacks to create a char and teleport it to the expansion campaign, but I know nothing of them.

Just an environmental video, but at least they have something to show in a video now.
Also, check the Aug - Sep 2010 Screenshots. Link reminder: http://www.grimdawn.com/media_screenshots.php
" I think the most important aspect of a degree is that it demonstrates a person’s ability to commit to a long-term work goal and follow through with it."
I'd say for a lot of degrees this is the only thing that matters to employers. They don't care that you can demonstrate your abilities they want the piece of paper that says that.
"This video shows a mostly soldier class character rampaging through the Burrwitch Slums area outside Devil's Crossing. Behold as zombies are gibbed, furniture is trashed, and... well, more things are gibbed! Rounding out the end of the video is a peak at one of the demolition class skills: canister bomb."
