I liked XMP for UT2, but after playing Onslaught I forget what was distinctive about it... what's the difference between Onslaught and U2XMP

What's the point of this mod exactly? They both use the same engine.. I dont get it..

XMP has energy which you have to collect in order to power things such as turrets, vehicles etc. XMP also has different classes and the main aim is to return the enemies artifacts to your base instead of taking over energy nodes. There's also deploy points which you have to take.

what if you like online gaming and have UT2004, but you dont have Unreal 2 but want to play the multiplayer mode that was made for it? well thats what this mod is for. handy.

When Legend went under, so did the master server and most of the players. U2XMP is pretty much dead...this is just a resurrection of sorts.

you buy Unreal 2, you play it, its got no multiplayer, then they release U2XMP, free multiplayer add-on with a mode thats kinda-like but also different to onslaught in UT2004.
you buy UT2004, its multiplayer only (against bots if you're offline), millions of free maps/mods/addons get made for it - this is one of them, for those who dont have U2XMP and therefore missed out on its unique game mode.
could it get any simpler?  |
Wrong dude, you need an original cd key for ut2k4 but u2xmp has no cd key so u can install using copied cd and install mod and play for zero.
