So yeah, decided that i wanna OC this beast.. anyway i'm new to this and i'm unsure of what clock speeds i should go at. Here are some stats for you, i'd like some help.

PSU: Corsair TX 650W
MB: Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3
CPU COOLER: COOLERMASTER HYPER 212 PLUS
Thermal paste: Arctic silver 5
RAM: Corsair XMS3 1600 mhz ( running at 1333mhz thanks to MB)
GFX: MSI 5850 at speed 765/1125

Idle temp (Speedfan & coretemp) : 20-22 degrees celsius.

So yeah, what should i go for? I don't want to overclock it like a beast, i wanna go for efficiency and still keep it cool while not going too crazy on power usage. Also if I could keep turbo boost on i would like it. I was thinking something like 3.2-3.4ghz (turbo) / 3.8 ghz (load)

What do you think? Is there any good guide for OC'ing that you can recommend?
Do you need more info?

Thanks

The #1 rule to keep in mind though is that no motherboard and CPU is identical to one with the exact same model number.

So don't expect to get the exact same numbers as them, you might do better or worse Smile

Well I looked at the toms hardware guide to finding the perfect clock speeds, it seems like 3.2 ghz(turbo) / 3.84 (load) seems good, very little power usage and you don't even have to change vcore or anything, but yeah the best way would be to experiment myself. Is the M.I.T overclock function etc in bios any good for OC'ing or is it best done manually?

No idea really mate, read Bit-tech's comments, they test like 3 or 4 Gigabyte motherboard right?
