Sims are by far my favorite genre, im studying to become a pilot so it's pretty natural I guess.

Sadly it's one of the least lucrative genre's of today. And I mean SIMS not arcade pewpew-flyers like Hawx.

Anyways here are some screens from the oh so awesome Black Shark.

 Spoiler:

Oh and more on topic thanks for the heads up, will definitely check this out once I've played through a billion campaigns of ETW Wink

Dunno if the english version has been released on the scene yet. It has, hold on to something, StarForce so that might be a reason.

I've only used Ventrilo for it so far which works well enough. Only problem is that I dont know enough people that play the game so I've only had a few sessions with actual voicechatting.

The only irl-buddy I have that plays sims is afk-irl working in India for 5 months -_-

The cockpit picture approaching a CARRIER (like i stated) is from an F-14 Tomcat. Dont take my word for it..go google it, or ask a friend who might know planes before posting crap. Rolling Eyes

Thanls.

God damn wish I still had the falcon 4.0 manual. The big one that was like 600 pages. All I can find is the quick start guide.

Decided to try to give Falcon Allied Force a go. The 700 page pdf manual is pretty intimidating. I will make it through though! Do I need to read the whole thing? That is a novel right there.

Your best bet is to learn the game in phases.

Taking off and landing were the first things I learned many moons ago when I played Falcon 4 and just that took me quite a while.

Quote:
Late 1998 a software company called MicroProse gave birth to Falcon 4.0 , an F-16 sim which was so ahead of it's time, after 12 years of it's inception it is still the most widely flown F-16 simulator title on home PCs today.

Today a dedicated group of software developers has released their latest modification to Falcon 4.0, named BMS 4.

BMS 4 was in the making for the last 5+ years, thousands of man hours of coding, art and data development and testing went into it, and now it is freely available for the masses to enjoy what fighter and possibly drone pilots enjoy doing, but right from the comfort of their very homes...

List of new features and fixes is rather long, but most noteabe highligths are:

-Advanced flight models.

-Tape M4.2 symbology.

-Brand new F-16 3D Cockpit.

-Enhanced multiplayer as well as overall stability.

-Modern graphics engine with multi-monitor capability.

-Enhanced weather and new atmosphere modelling.

-Enhanced artificial intelligence.

-Enhanced dynamic campaign control and interactions.

-Falcon 4.0 cd rom is required to install.

Looks great, too bad I don't have the time to play it like I used to. Razz
