Wtf ok i have cysts in both eyes.... my left eye keeps itching and vision fucks up..... so i get told only solution is to have them punctured with a needle?? WTF that will hurt like hell.....oh jesus i hate my eyes right now
Have you ever had eye pressure measured? I suppose you haven't, so I'll explain: they squirt some yellow stuff in your eye and it burns at first, but then you can poke yourself in the eye as much as you can
I think they'll do the same to you except, you won't be poking yourself in the eye (presumably with a finger), they'll ram a needle in your eye

wait, WAT?
you don't have pain receptors on your eyes. When they poke your eyes with a needle, you don't feel pain, and if they use eye drops, you don't feel shit. It just LOOKS FUCKING SCARY!!!
For the record: you have pain receptors on your tissue around the eyes (eyelids and shit)..

Wrong, the cornea has some of the most receptor dense epithelial tissue in the whole body, which includes extremely sensitive mechanoreceptors in the sub-endothelial layers.
Possibly what you're thinking of is the lack of pain sensitivity within the aqueous and vitreous humour of the orbis and within the lens of the eye itself.
You will feel extreme pain and discomfort if a needle is inserted into your eye without a local anaesthetic, even then it will still be highly uncomfortable due to the fluctuations in intraocular pressure that will be produced. They can compensate for this with a general analgesic or hypnotic sedative, but they may need you to be lucid so you can offer feedback during the operation so I'm not sure what will happen in chris' case.
I do know that they can use a monochrome high frequency blue laser to vapourise the cysts, but this depends on whether they are vacuous or not.
