The volume of voice dialogue is very low (can hardly hear it) so far i tried:

    messing with the different volume settings in the settings.ini
    deactivating hardware accelaration completly via dxdiag (fixes the issue, but the sound is just stuttering unbearable)
    reinstalling game
    reinstalling directx
    reinstalling onboard sound drivers (VIA highdef)


Any ideas ?

i doubt it'll fix the sound problems.. but yea.. i guess i need to switch over to win7 Sad
(i just read that u can't use dx10 features in winXp, i never knew!)

VIA HD seems to have this bug on XP. Note that the same driver on Windows 7 has no such problem in the game. Always have Win 7 on dual-boot.

Had same problem, have a audigy4, first time i get this low shit but doesnt matter i had subtitles on and since ingame no problem i didnt care.

(just pasting my reply from another forum here..)

..If u experience sound problems like not hearing conversations of npc's in singleplayer ...
insert SpeakerCount=2 into your settings.ini
(located in MyDocuments/BFBC2/)
This finally fixed my issues. (and i had to search for a long time to find this..)
It might only work with the patched version, (i doubt it tho)
but as stated earlier u can still use the old cracked.exe with the new patch.
