Wait, is this that same GoW clone that I saw gameplay videos a very long time ago? Looks very similar.

The character designs in this one are going to be off the fucking hook if Joe Mad is doing the art. Pickup the book BattleChasers for a taste. Love this man's art.

Never got to play any of the God of war games, must say they looked tasty..
Wish I had the cash for a PS3, a good blu-ray player and a few gems, can't be bad...

Oh come on. Who didn't think God of War with that trailer? The "grunting", overly excessive violence and QTE shots? I'm not saying those are the sole domain of the GOW franchise, but it definitely is taping into the well that GOW is currently sucking from.
Not to say thats a bad thing, but it is pretty blatant.

It also looks to take major influence from the Warcraft franchise (main character looks like Arthas), also some WoW weapon designs and the mount.
It's coming out January 1st (they hope when people return bad games for Christmas they'll buy this one, lol). Heard it in an interview on Gamespot E3 Live.

imho that's a smart move. Let's assume it's a good game but to bring it out at the same time as Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2, L4D2, Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed 2, Dragon Age, Bioshock 2 ... is just suicide

Well, they did mention a few months ago, in a dev interview, that it will be released in jan 2010, good to hear it's official! And given that the publisher's THQ and not SEGA, we'll actually play this game in jan 2010. Goodie!
