She is an Inhuman that can fly and change her shape much like Mr. Fantastic. Marvel created her because they wanted to make sure DC didn't try to get the Ms. Marvel name back for use with Mary Marvel kind of how Marvel took the Captain Marvel name from DC's Shazam so they could not use it anymore.

Why though? You get angsty teens from 30 year olds playing superheroes in all cape shit movies. It's a staple of a good capeshit movie. Bvs had teen angst. Avengers. All Marvel movies have teen angst in them. They're just disguised as grown up angst because they're deal with content made for teens and adapt it to adults without actually making them grow.
Only show that was close to making characters grow was falcon and winter soldier. But even then they act like 17 year olds in it.

I like how it ended.
though I'd prefer season 2 than a movie.
gotta see her grow more into a hero. if movie is done by same people who handled her character I'm down 100% but if it's just a brie Larson movie with her in it, I'll be there, but I won't be happy about it.
