I tried it in russian and even though it looks good in videos, gameplay is kinda messy... it has that "russian" feel, if you know what I mean.

Yeah, I do. Great potential, incredibly sloppy execution. That's why it's rare to get Russian games localised these days, and if they are localised it's usually a couple YEARS after the original release. Bah.

I just saw this uploaded on BCG and it looks like it's English. Asked the uploader for confirmation first.

Not working, I'm getting 404'ed when I click the sign-up link(I'm taking it from a local tracker forum). Anyways, I was really looking forward to the game, the demo was pretty cool.
Thankfully, I'll get to see this version on a local tracker.

It's not English. Here's a copy of the comment I made on BCG;
Quote: |
Ok, now where do we start with this piece of crap upload?
1. The NFO is bollocks. There is no DVD in this, just three files; setup.exe, setup-1.bin and setup-2.bin No DVD. No crack file, it's precracked inside the setup files.
2. It is NOT English!!!!!!!!!!!!! Uploader LIED to everyone, he lied on the torrent name, he lied on the torrent description and he lied in the torrent comments. If this is English, then I'm a 250kg three-headed DILDO. I'll be more than happy to upload screenshots taken from NOT ENGLISH install process, right through to the NOT ENGLISH title menu and on to the NOT ENGLISH options menu, further progressing into the NOT GOD DAMNED ENGLISH game play itself. Hooray!
I'd maybe understand if it was just an upload taken from another site and the uploader didn't check it first (understand though not condone, really; you should check everything before uploading it) but the fact that the uploader COMMENTED that it was English when it isn't? That's just deplorable.
3. See #2
4. The files don't even EXTRACT at first, since there's one that isn't named correctly, so the multi-part RAR archive refuses to extract, claiming it's incomplete.
Collapse [English]PC.part22.rar
Needs to be renamed to;
Collapse [English][PC].part22.rar
5. See #2
I'm reporting this to the moderators in the hope that it will either be removed from the site, and our ratios restored, or at least renamed -- and our ratios restored, because downloading 2.6GB of mislabeled CRAP is not something I enjoy doing.
:thumbsdown:

They opened them a few weeks ago and it was the only time they've been open in YEARS. The site went into uber shutdown mode around 2yrs ago :\

Aw hell. Thanks for the effort of downloading it, you saved me some time and frustration.
Here's to hoping that it will, one day, get released with English text at least.

I can't find my post and I can't find the info anywhere either now but regarding Collapse or whatever it was the first version was only released in Russia under BUKA I think they're called and this remake/stand-alone expansion was planned to be released worldwide but 505 backed out and only brought the X360 version of it over.
I've tried to modify the game scripts and data which is somewhat possible but it uses that damn Star-Force protection so modding is impossible.
(EXE is cracked and all but the archives are SF encrypted and impossible to modify in any proper way unless a decryption method is available, you can even damage the game data localization and it'll extract the proper one from the SF archive which means even if there is other language data in the archives you can't access them since it re-extracts and reads the default data from that archive.)
Sometimes it works (That recent adventure game and Steam Slug to name two recent ones.) and sometimes the results aren't very good (Beltion) and other times there would be a lot of work unless something is uncovered with the other data, Precursors and Xenus 2 work this way and fan-translations to many titles like Disciples 3 initially or Drakensang.
(Divinity 2 is also a good example which due to luck and community made tools was able to change the language somewhat.)
Ofcourse while many non-translated titles look interesting they're usually sub-par, I'd probably enjoy them anyhow though.
(Hellforces, Operation Matriarchy, Legion 2, Ubersoldier, Mortyr, Geneforces, Psychotoxic and many many others but there are interesting titles as well though sometimes very rough like Silent Storm, Stalker, Metro, Witcher, Void, 5.56/7.62 and so on.)
