I've just been digging through old NFS games and I cannot find the damn game where it lets one player play the cops and chase down the other player.

Which goddamn NFS game lets you do this?!

NFS3: Hot Pursuit has a Pursuit mode but it did not let one player play as the police.

NFS:Hot Pursuit 2 had both players as the cops and did not appear to let you chase eachother.

Someone, please tell me the damn game that let's you chase the other player!! Crying or Very sad

Apparently you can on the PSX NFS High Stakes according to the FAQ on this site , not sure about all consoles or PC , great game still have it on PC.hope this helps http://www.neoseeker.com/Games/Products/PSX/nfs_histakes/faqs.html . oh look at the FAQ guide and it mentions 2 player mode....

I remember playing as a cop on the PC High Stakes.

EDIT: And on Hot Pursuit 2 as well, also on PC.

On several of the games you can play the cop, but I know there is one that lets you play in a mode where one player is the cop, chasing the other player who is trying to get away.

And I know I didn't do it on the PC because I used to play splitscreen with my brother...

Does High Stakes allow you to CHASE the other player?

I know that High Stakes had split screen on PC (playd it with my brother that way) and that you definitely could play as cop in singleplayer - don't know about multiplayer though.

EDIT: Out of nostalgia I just insalled High Stakes on my Win7 laptop (works with Software Rendering) and it indeed has split screen where one player can chase the other as a cop.

...and the handling feels better then the Need for Speed Underground crap Very Happy

lol, I'll have to check that out too then...

Turns out though, you CAN play this mode in Hot Pursuit 2, but only in the PS2 version! I had tried the Xbox version and for some reason it was cut out?!?!?!

But I'll also have to check out high stakes, thanks!
