I know it's a bit of an older mod on an older game but it's pretty much one of the competitive gaming standards these days... I've recently started getting into the hardcore leagues and just curious if anyone else plays
could never get into it. it's too simplified for me, too removed from the action.
oh well.... i learned new things and tactics even a year after i started playing it. and from time to time i am still surprised if someone shows of a monster move...
that game is very VERY team based - all your personal skill wont help a bit if you play vs a half decent team...
and removed from the action?! wtf... ok - game needs some time till the heat starts, but with good players its very intense - battles all the time, and that for 40-60 mins nonstop. that game needs all your concentration and is very demanding.
i would compare it to cs - just way more complex...
I used to play it all the time, along with other AOS variations. There are lots of different Warcraft 3 maps which feel like a whole new game, thats what kept me playing for about 5 years.
Haven't booted it up in about 6 months though, not sure what exactly happened but it just lost the magic. Kind of like the way you grow out of cartoons, there isn't a definable reason for it you just lose interest.

Maybe, but you can play different builds, and besides capturing flags (and using capture locks) and upgrading the citadel requires a lot of teamplay, apart from combining the demigods. Dota matches can be won by a single push. I think the 2 new demigods will be released this month... hopefully.
Dota is at a stalemate now, they release a new version once in a blue moon. I know they´re working on lol... but... i think it´s time to move on and play new stuff

And very hard to take the fucking idiots when you first trying to get into the game. They all act like they were born knowing how to play the fucking thing.
