Live subs are region Free, MS Points are region lock so be sure to buy points for your country.

There was a netflix promotion on the xbox.com website a few weeks ago. Many people got over a year subscription for free (1 code = 1month)

That was a nice one. I got probably 2 years of live from that for free. Gave most of codes away to friends.

Well https://www.gamepointsnow.com/ isnt expensive for me. If i would buy from retail stores then 1200 points would cost me like 30£ so yeah... Stuff like that is REALLY expensive here. Heck most Xbox games new arrive at stores with a 65£ price tag... and they keep that price tag even if the game is 2 years old *cough* Fable II still 65£ *cough*

I've found the cheapest way (or at least in the UK) is buy from places like Woolworths, littlewoods etc.
They've always got some voucher on the go, normally for first order only, but there is a chain of 4 stores that accept the same voucher.
£10 off voucher and free delivery managed to pickup 4200 gp for £25. Done this twice now so 8400 gp for £50 ain't bad
