Hi all,
I'm posting because I did a search on this forum (which I've come to respect) to see if anyone had had a similar problem to me. I saw a post that mentioned Winrar where the poster mentioned it, someone slagged him off for using Winrar, and then someone complimented the slagger for his burn.
If you can't or (don't want to) help me I won't take offence.
My problem: Having recently got back online after about a year I downloaded Winrar and (until today) had no trouble with it. However, when I tried to Unrar something today it wouldn't do it and asked me to register (i.e. PAY). I decided to roll back my calendar, Winrar wasn't fooled. I uninstalled, re-downloaded, Winrar wasn't fooled. I'm sure when I had Winrar a few years ago this problem (about not being registered) could simply be closed and the program continued to work normally.
A side effect of all of this was that some torrents that I was downloading were terminated. When I tried to start them up again only a couple of them restarted. An episode of the Smoking Room I was downloading now returns a permission denied error (13 I think). Also the others that do restart seem to be limited in some way, in that my upload rate seems to have been halved. If it isn't superfluous information, when I hover my mouse over the torrents that are working instead of displaying the information (name of torrent, amount downloaded/ uploaded etc.) it just says Bit Torrent.

Never roll back the clock. Instead you should either get a crack for the app or download the scene release. I also recommend you to trash winrar and get powerarchiver. Unfortunately I don't know how to fix your torrent things.
