I know the Logitech Performance Mouse MX is not a gaming mouse by definition, by I like the design and features on it, and also wanna use it for gaming.
Anyone got it and happy with it gaming wise?

I'm using a Mionix 5000, it's the most comfortable mouse I can remember using.
And I've tried quite a few during the last few years, from the Logitech G5 to G500 Logitech G9 to the new Logitech G9, Razer Mamba, Razer Deathadder, Roccat Kone, Logitech Revolution MX and Steelseries Xai.
Over the years I've had a lot of different mice of course, but I can scarcely remember their names now and definitely not how they felt, whereas the other mice I still have in my "computer room/ study" and can therefore compare.

My advice: don't ask for advice. What one person loves in a mouse, is exactly what another person will hate.
Also don't go by features, go to a store and get your hands on one, simple as that. I for one can't stand Razer mice at all, and prefer the slightly bulkier 5-series from Logitech because I make arm movements rather than wrist movements and I have fairly big hands which I have resting on the mouse completely.
The best anyone can do is advise you on brands to look at, based on how you handle your mouse

I can recommend the G9/G9x from experience, it is really good. It looks very strange at first, and you might think it is not comfortable, but once you try it, you will see it is actually quite comfortable. And the free spin wheel is priceless, you won't be able to stand other wheels after you try that.

Well, I got the Logitech Performance Mouse MX, but now my GTA IV runs too fast! I even checked it with my old mouse and the game runs fine, but when the MX is onnected GTA IV runs in fast motion - WTF?

You mean the sensitivity is too high?
I find on the fly sensitivity adjustment a invaluable feature in my mouse.

I have the MX518 myself (the older 1600dpi one - bought it quite a while ago) and it's a great mouse indeed. It lacks some of the advanced features like that MicroGear stuff, and it doesn't have button profiles for some reason. But performance wise it's perfect - feels just right in the hand and incredibly precise.
I have been using it for a few years now and still don't see the need to get a new one.
