Idea

PEOPLE do not download this patch! I(chubskj) SniperFOX and Snuffles are the orginal creators of this hack. COPYHAUNTERS, was told by the 3 of us not to release it and still did. This hack took us many hours to complete and we are still in beta testing. We've been working at this since the game was released. The 3 of us have been working non stop the past 3 or 4 days on the XBOX version. We have also started work on the PC version, soon to be released by US.

The main problem with this release is that when the 3 of us release our latest version of the hack, we only had people create a backup of 2 files from the punisher directory and replace them with our custom made files.

The reason we chose to do it this way was simple. If something goes wrong you can just replace the files that were overwritten. With the COPYHAUNTERS patch you have no option of doing that unless you plan it ahead of time.

Now you might be wondering "well COPYHAUNTERS patch works fine..." That may be the case but lets say Snuffles myself and SniperFOX release a new version. We cant assure you that out new update will work with COPYHAUNTERS old release. Also to anyone who tried to mod the file themselves will find that the patch only fixes what copyhaunter found that we have changed. If you had made a mistake in your own editing, our version comes with copies that have already been tested and confirmed working.

Yes he did give us credit at the end of the NFO(even though it was at the bottom Rolling Eyes Mad ) But he contacted us and we TOLD him NOT to release the patch as an exe because it is still in beta. We understand the fact that sending out whole files and xbes are frowned about in some communities, but with a beta patcher you are just asking for more problems.

I ask the NFOrce remove this patch because the orignial creators CANNOT support it for furture releases, for example we have a bug in our old release that COPYHAUNTER does not know how to fix. If people use copyhaunters files we (the original authors) will have to do more work to fix it, and this work can be spent on bringing you guys new features

i completly agree with the above post. copyhaunters patch is simply too unsafe to install. as for the last sentence, it is also corrent.. copyhaunters stolen patch has bugs in it which i didnt get time to fix for the release. the newest OFFICAL hack from the origional creators (me, snuffles and kwasi) is expected to be released soon fixing these bugs. if copyhaunters verson of our hack is installed, you may not be able to upgrade

Well first off all it's pity I have to read all this "ooo its mine" official kiddie-chat here above... I'm not really gonna break my head about it ya know :rollleyes:

But oh well to go in onto the patch,
into all your warnings in , I downloaded the copyhaunters patch and tested it on my legally bought xbox version, I had not a single problem with it ,so it works quite good. About the updates I agree it can be kind of sucky, so I'm gonna w8 if copyh group maybe is gonna release a new compatible update patch for it.... if not I'll try the "official " patch then.

I think I saw an "undo button" on the patcher, so can always be undone if ya as me

Anyway it's really fun to play this game uncensored now, kick ass!

You should be thanking sniperfox, snuffles and kwasi. The way I see it copyhaunters is just taking credit for someone elses work. Once there is another updated version out they should create a patch themselves and release it before someone else does, i.e copyhaunters!

crocodilehunter this isnt about crying ooooh its mine.
If you make a patch or a crack or something like that, the last thing you want is someone who comes and steal it to put her name on the credits. It cost a lot of work to do something like that, so at least give the credits to the people who really made it and not to the people whos just stole it.

Besides crocodilehunter, I think the other guys have a good understanding of what going on.

People the main thing thats wrong about this is that we created the hack, but did not approve of this release! We're not trying to hog the spotlight or anything but if something goes wrong with COPHAUNTERS patch, we're the ones that end up looking bad.

If anyone knows where I could reach a mod because I request that this patch be nuked.

and like i said "could corrupt any of your future updates. ", were sticking with that, could being the operative word, but still.it could verry well be incompatible with our future updates, and if it isnt , people are going to email us for help, which they wont get..

and if "every kid in the world" could do this, how come they never? doin this is more then finding/replacing things from the demo, in fact, i dont think we used the demo at all for this. i never anyway, maybe someone else did, but i doubt it. i dont see any other complete uncensor hacks out but ours. hell, wheres yours?

i dont know what to call ours, because there is no name on it except punisher ultimate censor mod

well, you can get copyhaunters if you want to i guess, its said to be easier to install, but i cant guarentee compatibility with future hacks or anything. but if anything is wrong with it, dont ask me for help Razz.. its up to you..


and by the way, its not just an xbe hack, other files are replaced.
