I was wondering where the BSG discussion went too. i searched and noticed theres no season 4 discussion thread.

4 new cylons, 1 still hidden, Six is rebelling against the cylons, the president is dying, who's the 5th? Starbuck? Baltar?

The final season is delivering so far.

What's everybody elses thoughts?

I hate the whole premise of religious human Cylons, at least when they're made with such fallibility. So I try to ignore that ridiculous notion and focus on the compelling characters and realistic space battles.

while i m an atheist, i dont mind exploring the theme of religion / faith in a series like and i think it adds some special quality to galactica. And it might help keep the series interesting and unique in its fourth season. Speaking of which, the two eps were really great  Very Happy

Yeah that didn't bother me, after all religion is partly based on interpreting coincidence as an act of God.

in my opinion, coincidence is the whole reason for superstition and religion. The human brain is hardwired to make sense out of everything / find sense in everything. So the erratic and unexplainable is often the reason, why meta-rules for something are established that are in itself false but arent disprovable either. The individual then can go on with his life gathering food for the tribe and stuff Very Happy
There is actually some convincing evidence from rat-experiments with erratic gratification-plans that show strange superstitious behaviour of the rats (google isnt giving me shit at the moment and i cant find the paper i m referring to, sorry, will try to prove my claims later)

Sure yeah, but often media likes to invent coincidence to prove god exists. I truly hope this isn't the case, but I can't tell for sure.

BSG went to crap for me when they got all spiritual and pseudo-intellectual. What the fuck are they trying to do here? It's a sci-fi show man! I miss the old-school sci-fi shows when you solved problems by firing your lasers, phasers, photon-torpedos and what have you. And if that didn't work, you just reversed the polarity on something and that did the trick. Yes, a bit simplistic but atleast they weren't getting all scientology on us. Very Happy

absolutely love new BSG , all of it. I don't mind the whole spiritual part of it , it makes a lot of sense (your a robot who becomes ... alive ... you'd believe in a god too lol.)

Btw president bitch cant die of cancer anymore, she is healed (i really want her dead ,too. She really is an annoying , no-good ... anyway).

Oh and be aware, this IS the final season (not cancelled or anything, it will have a proper final .. for once (unlike showslike sg-1, farscape , firefly etc etc :/ )

Why with spoiler tags? Are people expecting anything but spoilers when coming to a thread about a season that just started?

Didn't they address the cancer in S3, where she was sick again? And why can't she use the cylon blood again?

I seriously doubt that will happen the way you hope. The series will probably end with them just arriving at earth.

The gangbang is a more likely possibility, and as long as it includes the Cylon hotties i'll be satisfied. Very Happy

It is said that the second half of S4 will deal with the consequences of them arriving to earth, so you will see earth probably toward the end of the first half (could be a nice cliff hanger).

i have been burned more than once for having missed an ep and read in threads about things i didnt want to hear, so i use spoiler-tags whenever an episode has just been released.

and for the cylon-blood: It came from the hybrid kid, that is now with the cylons, isnt it?

Really, I didn't think they had the budget for that. I hope it isn't just them sending down small teams of people to 'infiltrate' the earthling population.

A full scale confrontation between them and earth would be awesome, even if no fighting is involved.

I'm speechless.

It's amazing how good music can make an incredible episode. I couldn't stay still for first 5 minutes, and i replayed last minute about 20 times.

Yeah, why isn't the president just using the blood again for another 1-2 years? Just a little blood, no harm will be done to the kid. But you know, with every episode that passes, I hate Roslin more and more, which is obviously intentional to prepare us for her death. Another nod to the writers how they managed to portray her in two different lights, while she hasn't changed at all. It's all about perspective, and they are doing it amazingly.

The show has gone to shit with all this super-natural, over-emotional introspection and pseudo-intellectual meaning of life crap. I want the cylons to win.
