sometimes what it means is that the presenter paid a shitload and let the movie get a release whilst otherwise it wouldn't

Nigga please! Burton created the idea, took care of the project for years while negotiating with Disney, wrote the songs with Elfman etc. etc. etc. Selick was directing only because Burton didn't have time for it. But it's his child and he can take as much credit as he wants.
selick did loads for nightmare burton did hit just took credit for a lot of it
coraline failed cause no one to this day know who selick is
people think burton was responible for all that was selicks work
