Battlefield?
Perhaps you mean Battle Los Angeles?

I believe Battle Los Angeles will only be released in 2011
Anyway, so far I'm more interested in Skyline out of those 3 movies.

Saw this movie yesterday at our local filmfest.
For a debut this movie is really good.
This film had a very low budget but the result is really amazing.
But do not expect a actionfest like D9. It is a slow moving ride into the infected zone with a lot of great shots and details.
Just go & see it.
So few watchable scifi movies these days....and this is one of the better.

A Cloverfield ripoff only you see MUCH LESS stuff.
4/10 - all 4 points for shots of locals, nature, kids with gas masks etc. otherwise it's 0/10

Saw the TVRiP and while I liked it a lot of the movie falls under the "thank gawd life isn't like that" category..
Examples..
Spoiler: | 1) Mexican/USA Super Wall was utterly stupendous all across the N.border yet that checkpoint was open and looks pathetically-minimal. WTF happened to having a massive fortified gate? How stupid to have that massive wall suddenly open up into one gaping entrance point basically baiting the aliens to "dare ya to pass this checkpiont, byatches!??" F**king stupid. Bloody smart design <sigh>
2) Note to self: HUMANS + ARMED WITH GUNS = Noticed they always were attacked = Hmm.. how about DON'T F**KING CARRY GUNS and leave em alone. I just found it so funny that all interactions with the aliens were always with the army or armed people. Classic.
3) Explain how the aliens can scoop out fighter jets from the sky when they barely look like they can reach up towards the sky? Bah!!
4) Finally, anyone noticed the ending was actually the beginning of the movie? Someone said the two main characters likely died after that Hellfire missile hit the alien on the building. I call MASSIVE BULLSH*T to that. Hellfires DO NOT cause massive damage to wide areas - they are armour-penetrators + the Hellfire hit the top of the alien who itself was on the top of the building. Right before the missile strike, we see the two main characters moving away from the scene far enough from any explosion that could occur. |
Like I said.. thank GAWD real life isn't Hollywood.

This http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0318462/ or even this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1029241/ is far more atmospheric.

Spoiler: | I don't think it's the same column of humvees - rather some chatter on the radio. The main chars are in the middle of nowhere, it's a desert with no buildings whatsoever. Maybe they were moved with the column to the city outskirts where the hellfire hit occurs but then again you're right about hellfire not being an AOE weapon.
Anyway this moment looks like another failed attempt to make it look like Cloverfield ('guess what happened next') |

Spoiler: | hehe.. check the two minutes of the film.. freeze-frame parts of it. You'll see its the two leads there where the d00d carries her off before the Hellfire hits. Also I read thats what the director intended so apparently its the case. Not that I care: I sorta like the movie yet not BUT considering the budget was only $15k WOW!! Not bad. |

Well, we all see what we want to see. But a Cloverfield ripoff, I hardly think so. Think you may have missed the point of this movie, as it was very different from Cloverfield.
