Among all the Avenger crap, this and Thor (directed by Kenneth Branagh!!) are the only ones that are interesting to me... Will update when more info comes out.
Check out the IMDb forums for prime example of racism in America. Some retards are apparently butt-hurt because Marvel have decided to use Ultimate Nick Fury, who is modeled after actor Samuel L. Jackson, instead of the old non-Ultimate, white Nick Fury.

WTF were those people expecting then?
If the character has already appeared on 3 movies and was played by Samuel L. Jackson in all three, it would be obvious that this was going to feature the ultimate version (which was designed with Samuel L. Jackson himself in mind). Or were they hoping that the Infinity Formula would turn Nick Fury from a white war veteran to a middle-aged black guy?
But I still like the classic Nick Fury better.

to be honest, i dont give a fuck that hes black. im not a fan of jacksons or anything, but after iron man 2 i think he fits and that hell do a fine job.
ill reserve my racism for the kane and lynch movie, thanks. now thats some bullshit right there.
I thought that how he popped all of a sudden (didn't watch the second half yet) In Iron Man 2 was pretty bad.
Creating a more original character than bringing Shaft again, would've been more appreciated...
According to wikipedia, he's signed on 9 different marvel films. That's going to get boring pretty soon.
not really, if anything i think it adds a tangible connection to a story 'universe', rather than just having a bunch of unrelated movies.... i actually like how theyre bringing actors across into different films to enhance the connection, i think its quite clever.
Throwing different characters in each movie and making a salad is much easier for the creators than creating one solid genuine character for each individual film. And it also pleases the fanbois
It's been very clear that they are making all these silly cameos to built up momentum for The Avengers, and why would they stop with the Iron Man movies and The Hulk? In fact, The Avengers will probably also have a cameo for a sequel or some other film in the franchise.
It's hard as it is trying to keep 50-80 years old comic book heroes alive and actual to nowadays. For that you really need build each character from scrap (Just like in Batman Begins) in order to make the story work.
So successfully mashing up between different characters would take an extra effort and creative thinking from the creators.
Unfortunately, most of the people who'll pay for those movies will be kids to whom seeing Nick Fury and Captain America fighting together is cool enough.
The heroes will become even shallower than before, and the quantity will surpass the quality, as we'll probably see more characters who are too shitty to have their own movie, aka wonderwoman.
Just like in the Superman and Batman animated series, which were great, and then the "Justice League" that was boring shit.
