So planning to get a new phone, and it will be my first smartphone.
Few things that i like about the 5230 is the low price, free GPS ( my trip to berlin made it obvious how handy this can be ) , 3G (ill use it eventually, but atm too expensive where i live). Dont really care for the camera or music options.
Only downside is maybe no wifi, at home i use my computer, but with the lacking 3G connectivity the wifi in more busy places might be a plus.
So i wondered how much more expensive would a nokia phone be with all the features of the 5230 + wifi , is the nokia x6 the next step?
Also i read it uses Symbian OS, never used that before so is updating through Nokia site the best way? are there good info resources out there?

Internal GPS will most likely suck...
It sucks on every mobile phone! It´s helpful but it´s far from great.

EDIT: What about 5530, no 3G but since you don´t plan using it... And incorporates Wi-Fi
