i finally got a new comp and finally got off windows xp! Laughing

mother fucking bill gates created the biggest mind fuck known to man and he called it windows 7!

what a fucking dick! this shit is horrible! if i was new to computers i dont think i would ever touch this mind fuck again!

Install Linux instead and play your games there...

UAC was one of the first things I disabled when I got Vista, did the same thing with Win7. ^_^

What an annoying piece of shit that was, for about 5 minutes. Very Happy

Win 7 is WAY more user-friendly than XP crap.... just the fact that WIndows Updates downloads and installs all needed drivers automatically is a huge commodity.
But remember to disable the UAC crap, it will drive you insane otherwise.

You beat me to it! Best option in windows. Windows 7 has its problems but compared to Vista its the dogs bolloks. Try Ubuntu if you dont wanna play any (serious) games and just use apps/web.

An offtopic question: Does Dx 11/10.1 which comes with windows 7 come with default 4X anti aliasing? In some games my fps is 20% lower than that of XP.

still hating this shit it runs really fast but it should do on a 1055t with 1600mhz memory Razz

even the start menu pisses me off why do i have to click click click! the peice of shit should expand with a mouse over its so much quicker!

everything about the os seems to be about making you spend more time finding whatever you want!

even the show desktop button is moved all the way along to the far end where its taking a few more seconds to reach
(i could hit alt+tab but im lazy!)

That's actually a good point, but don't sweat it overmuch mate... the number of DX10.1 games is VERY few and far between. I could probably think of FOUR games that use 10.1, and DX10.0 doesn't have the mandatory 4xAA.

Thank you for the answer Laurentiu and Sabin, much appreciated. Then it must be my processor since this happened on SFIV, the only game I play more than 2 hours a week. Windows 7 is not cut out for my hardware (A P4 and Hd4670) I will wait the holiday season to upgrade. Thanks again.

Don't forget; Vista drivers also work .. and, unless you're on x64 you can most likely use XP drivers too.

I'm confused mate :\ Even just a cursory glance shows that Windows 7 works perfectly on the TC4200... I'm looking at info as far back as the RC1 of Win7 and time after time it's good reports and info. The only issues I could find were due to upgrades from XP/Vista to 7, in which the WACOM pen stopped working completely - the solution; reinstall the WACOM drivers.
