Ubisoft rapeage, where they have you climb one wall, ledge, sploge, jump to another, skid along, slide and finally jump to another 10 meters up, by pressing/holding 1 button.
The first game pretty much is a guidebook to what is wrong with todays video games. Newest prince of persia just manifestied it.
There is no challenge, no point in playing. Welcome to tomorrow. Do you remember when you played those 8-bit games and grinded your way thru the levels? That reward gave something back. The achivement of actually beating something that took actuall skills.
The average gamer is 30, yet they make us play kid games. Thinking about it I think Ninja Gaiden was the last good game.
And yes before someone complain, yes I know that they made 8-bit games really hard because they were so short. Doesn´t matter, master the game, get the kick. Easy peasy.

If what I've read is manifested in the final game, this one will be a massive improvement over the first one. I was still awed by Creed 1 because of the vast environments.

Assassins Creed was not a shit game.. i mean yeah you may not of liked it or think its not so great but thats just your personal opinion... from looking at all these reviews below..the majority definitely thought it was a great game including myself. And sure you can say all the reviews are from opinions as well.. the fact is the game was no where near being shit... AC 2 will be nothing short of amazing...
I've never EVER seen a shit game get these kind of reviews in my entire life of gaming...

yes, it wasn't exactly bad. my gripe with AC1 was rather that ubi made a great game world as well as gameplay, but then filled it with repetitive objectives and a rather mediocre storyline. as long as they add some fresh gameplay additions and an interesting campaign this time -->instant win

Seems that's how Ubi rolls these day's. Build a sandbox world and fill it with repetitive gameplay; FC2, last PoP and ofc, AC1. Hope SC Conviction won't follow the same path, as for AC2, it looks like they redesign the gameplay a bit, giving it some variations.

I never finished the first one because it became repetitive very quickly. But this one looks promising. Ubisoft Montreal aren't retards. They had a lot of time to fix what was wrong with AC1. I don't think they would fuck up twice in a row

Via the BBC Eurogamer EXPO in UK has announced the release of AC2 as well as Aliens Versus Predator.
The BBC news feed has it up atm.
Basically saying that visitors to the Expo can purchase these new games.
It doesn't make much sense as the game isn't due till the 17th Nov but its up on BBC atm

Yeah, that link is the actual piece while the BBC live ticker stating the games were released was running beneath on live tv.

2 more weeks, i am actually maybe one of the few who is looking forward more to this then COD:MW2
Don't get me wrong though MW2 is great also, but this i enjoy playing a bit more then MW2

I really really enjoyed playing MW2 a lot. But I guess its the setting of the game that I'm looking forward.
I really don't want to run in a linear piece of Afghanistan or Washington when I can free run around in Venice or Sienna....

My opinion on the first game is that it was overhyped to such a degree that all the good parts were just forgotten because everyone was so shocked by the bad parts.
Sure it was repetitive, but truth be told that was the only really bad part about it. I personally enjoyed the combat, the free-running, the graphics, sound and the story.
Ironically I am quite hyped about AC2 despite it having much less of it compared to the original.

That might be the coolest trailer I've seen. Probably mostly because the music is insanely awesome but still

problem with AC1 was that everyone was hyped out of all reason and blinded by Jade whatevershewascalled teasing everyone with it by the day that when i did ome out and it was the biggest let down in gaming history that they had trouble giving it a bad review. Oh, that and the fact that most of the reviewers had large chunks of advertising revenue rif=ding on keeping Ubisoft sweet.
Great graphics and engine, god awful repetitive gameplay. And the time traveling twist, WTF, a child could have written it.
hoping the new one is better, but not hopeful as I saw a level with the crap evesdropping nonsense in it.
No advertising.

I'm afraid they changed only a little bit in gameplay and this will be as boring as the first one. Maybe there'll be six kinds of side missions except four. The first one was indeed visually stunning, I don't think the sequel will be much better graphic wise.
