Or http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=us
(And then checking upcoming games and it's still listed mid-July but in dollar instead of Euro so the CC code works.)

What's with the CC code JBeckman? Will I be able to purchase games that are unavailable in my region (Asia) if I make a purchase via that?

Nope, CC code just allows to see products in corresponding region and region currency Sad

I never played Magic back in the day. I did however play Legends of Norrath (an Everquest digital card game equivalent). I spent more money on that then I care to admit. Addicting as fuck.

I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

I'll have a look, thanks. -Edit- Nope, didn't work. Still in USD.

As for MTG being good in SP? Well the YuGiOh videogames are pretty fun in SP, but obviously the real worth comes from MP..

I know, that MP is the real deal, i'm just not too fond of MP in general Smile

The PSP/DS versions are pretty good, they play like the Pokemon games - with you exploring the world, collecting cards, challenging other people. The PC versions of YuGi are as close to the real card game (outdated, obviously) as you could get. Shame they only bought in multiplayer in the LAST version of the game; Joey .. the first two (YuGi and Kaiba) only had SP vs COM.

You're welcome Smile

Also, as Overlord123 mentioned, you can delete cookies, particularly the one named FakeCC, STEAM will show you prices from a region based on your IP address.

I thought you guys were talking about that old retro magic game. I've still got an original disk for that somewhere. Loved that game.

no, my question was about new MtG, which is already available on consoles)
Original one was really rocking, and is playable even now (with the new 2010 pack available on pirate bay)

if it's identical to the 360 version released last year, then yes. beautiful and easy to use interface (much better than the horrendous MTG online for PC) and while you "just" play with standard decks, it's more than enough if you're not used to having shitloads of cards and building your own custom deck. the AI isn't that wise, but still provides for interesting battles, plus you can also play co-op through the campaign. i'd recommend it to anyone who isn't a seasoned MTG player.

My sister-in-law had it for the xbox and it IS pretty fun in single player. There are a few things that were frustrating having played magic since early 94 (although not much within the last 4 years or so). But it was still definitely fun!

Looked for wikipedia and you are right. You can't build a custom deck... thats part of why I want to play such a game. Oh well... back to Yu-Gi-Oh! Smile

my comment was aimed at magic players who have been playing for years (and thus have a massive card collection).
if you haven't played it before - trust me, the available decks are lots of fun to play and while you start off with pretty "basic" decks (red-->attack power, green-->massive creatures, blue-->cancel your enemy's actions, white-->defense, etc blabla) you also unlock multicolor decks such as mind of void which is specialized at reducing your enemy's library to zero (you lose in MTG when you can't draw a card cause you don't have any left) and doesn't need any customization at all cause it's perfect (imo at least).

of course part of the fun comes from collecting cards and building your own deck, but the MTG card spectrum is so fucking massive that non-pros are better off playing just with the standard decks.

Also, some of us (me for instance) hate building decks and are crap at it while still enjoying the game.

I've had this for a while on XBL and absolutely lvoe the crap out of it.

Hey, this is PC version after all, with little luck we'll be able to edit decks manually. In Microproses Duels of the Planeswalkers you could hack yourself 20 black lotuses with a notepad.

that's actually a brilliant idea, shouldn't be much of a problem to switch out card pix and values. special stuff like tokens and abilities could be difficult though
