Okay, I thought of myself: let's make a music mix from movies. I used The Mummy 3, Jurassic Park and the Gladiator with it and also used some footage in it from the trailers.
Never used a video editing program, so I was working on this for a long time. Finally it was done and then I uploaded it too YouTube and now it says it's blocked in these countries: Czech Republic, France, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, United Kingdom
And the reason is some stupid

I used to upload funk & soul music there until my account got disabled. You may go around that with clicking the dispute form then copy pasting the 'I'm in good faith that this is not related to any copyright holder's property bla bla' then apply. Your video will get unblocked in those countries but if you are caught* you will receive a strike.
@Newty, I'd recommend Premiere Pro, if you are completely new to this, there are lynda.com's training videos by Chad Perkins. In shorter than 10 hours you will have complete power ove the program. If you can't afford to spend 10 hours just for training, (I heard that it's easier to use) I'd suggest Ulead programs.

I believe they search for particular keywords (like the name of the movie) or (when it's a copy of a video that has already been banned) file size. They blocked a video I uploaded a few years ago for the same reason (copyrights). I re-uploaded a different version of it (I just cut the last second) without certain keywords (MTV) and never had a problem again (it now has like 300 thousand views).
The block the music based on audio fingerprints as far as I know.
However, If I remember correctly, there was a way to keep the video up in all countries, but there where ads displayed next to it. I have no idea if it works like this now.

yeah youtube has pretty seriously been ruined now by overzealous rights holders going apeshit over nothing.
fanmade trailers with music they 'liked' will not lead them to lose any money... on the contrary, all those 'OMG WHAT SONG IS THAT' comments are likely to help BOOST their profile...

On my YouTube account i got 10 mins of RoboCop 2 footage (RoboCain vs RoboCop) i admit it is copyright infringement because it is simple the cool part of the movie. It was viewable for like 1 year but then it got "blocked" the next 8 months or so.
Then suddenly youtube removed the block and it is now back online. I did not do anything at all to try to get it back. Very strange.
In the first movie I made, there was a watermark from the Downloadhelp add-on from Firefox, but I managed to remove that in the second video. Maybe is that it?

Ok, I deleted all my movies, because most of them were blocked anyway and were bad quality. That was because of Adobe Premiere..sucky program now I started to work with Sony Vegas 9 and it is so much better and now my video is finally in HD...and for now: NOT BLOCKED MUHAHA
