Ello!
Just need some help really, I can see all these tools you can buy such as: http://www.ck3.co.uk/xecuter-nandx.html is that all I need to JTAG this 360? Its all mumbo jumbo for me with different things out on the market these days.

Basically; if you've updated your 360 on, or after, June 2009 - then no. JTAG is not possible for you. If you haven't, then you can JTAG the machine, which allows; any size HDD, full game install to HDD with no DVD media required, homebrew applications, custom dashboards, no digital-signature requirements which allows you to have all DLC/XBLA titles for free. Plus a few other things too, but those are the major ones. Essentially, JTAG'ed 360s are the holy grail for pirates and legit users alike 
You don't NEED that NAND-X tool, you can make your custom tool and flash it yourself - the NAND-X just simplifies it somewhat. If you think the terminology is mumbo-jumbo, wait till you see the workload
