Not all the missions are remade, just 5. The other 7 are original. (I believe these are the figures but I maybe wrong)

This run like shit on anyone elses comp? I have a AMD 2000+, 512 mb DDR ram, 128 mb ATI Radeon 8500 LE .... running in lowest detail possible (no post filter) on 1024x768 still doesn't give me a good fps rate ... shit even far cry was better (looking and running). Any suggestions to boost performance (besides the obvious which is smashing my comp with a baseball bat and getting a new one).

Wow are you wrong. Lets see if I can set this straight ...

The first mission is somewhat new, the setting is old from Hitman 1. Second mission "The meatking's party" is new. Third mission "The Bjarkov bomb" is new. Fourth mission "Beldingford manor" is new. Shall I go on?

Yes there is alot of remakes later in Contracts but not all of them. On a side note I have to state that most of those remakes were kinda boring.

Hitman Contracts is a great game, I had a blast playing it, loved the HUGE maps, beautiful graphics, great gameplay, fantastic atmosphere, of course a great soundtraack like usually, the performace was very smooth at 1280x1200x32 4xaa 4xaf, definatly has a replay value due to the fact missions can be finished in so many diffrent ways, bottom line excellent game, and Im looking forward to the next episode.
I'd rate it 8.8/10

I'm not usually one to temper the gods JBrow, but it's 'silent assassin'. You may kill me now...

The missions work like this:

1) New, but uses old layout of the last mission from Hitman:Codename 47
2) New
3) New
4) New
5) New
6) Old, uses two 'Hitman: Codename 47' levels and uses parts of each
7) Old, slightly altered version of a 'Hitman: Codename 47' level
8) Old
9) Old (I think)
10) Old (I think)
11) Old
12) New

I have an average PC and I play it just fine. Crashes like a bitch though, but what ya gonna do?

erm "mild replay value" ???? I don't think you really played the game, did you take a closer look at the levels? Notice any alternative paths for playing the missions? Well keep looking because there's usually more ways to play than you know.

Hey, thanks for the tip. This helps a little ... although I wish it did run better.

On another note, can someone help me out with a problem I'm having in the "Rendezvous in Rotterdam" level. When I use the syringe on the reporter to get his clothes, the prick always wakes up and alerts one of the guards (usually happens just after I assassinate that dude with the safe/photos). That reporter asshole counts as an innocent civilian, so I can't just blow his head off and get the silent assassin rating. So how do I get around this problem?

From your hideout run outside through the left door, down the stairs and wait for the patrolling bikers to walk back into the building. Sneak in and head right into the door at the back of the room and left up the stairs. At the top go through the double doors and right into another room. Inside is a biker in his boxers with a stripper. Sneak over to his clothes and put them on. Sneak back out and you can walk about the compound fairly safe.

Head to the bottom floor again and over to the opposite side of the building to where you came in. Exit through the doorway outside and into the alley here. Avoid the patrolling biker and slip across the yard towards the basement area (Southeast part of the yard). Avoid the guard at the top of the steps and sneak down to the basement door. Hide behind it and wait for a guy to leave and sneak in whilst he goes up the stairs. Down here you'll probably be shot on sight even if you're wearing the uniform from earlier so head straight forward to the last door on the right and steal the dead bikers better uniform in here. Now you should be able to walk the basement properly. Leave the room, go straight forward and into the torture room (Make sure the torture guy has left) and hit the switch then leave the room.

Use the stairs in the basement to go up a floor and leave through the first doors. Eventually the journalist will arrive and be frisked. Follow him back through the doors and then up into the office of the biker leader (Your target). As the leader opens the safe, syringe the journalist and cap the leader in any order. Take the photos from the safe and then leave the compound. (Leave as the journalist if you want, but your biker outfit works fine).

Well, that was done from memory so it might be a little rusty, but should get you through it if you're careful. Good luck, hope it helps.

Silent Assasin means you use a maximum of 1 bullet, only for your target. Everyone else you either sneak by or use Chloroform to knock out.

You don't use chloroform in the game (Unfortunately) and you can sometimes use more than one bullet. On the mission 'Deadly Cargo', I used 7 to riddle the target and still got Silent Assassin. I think on some missions you're also allowed to kill at least one other enemy.

On every mission you can do it Zero all[ No Alerts Kills Bullets CE ect.] Because the targets don't count as kills.
