Yo bros,
I just need some objective eyes on a situation, because i am probably seeing things which are not there...
All right, so I have been screwed in the ass by my ex-gf ginormously, which made me stay away from the opposite sex for a month or 6 (Edit for Sabin: Screwed is used in a non-literal way and does not involve the usage of some sort of sex toys or penetration of the shit hole by whatever species). I had noticed this girl before, but she is really hot and I never was in the mood to go girl-hunting, because well yeah, another hot blonde that will screw me over big time... So recently, I was in the pub and for some reason I still cannot remember, me and this girl ended up talking for hours and hours and hours and having fun.
Anyway, the next couple of days we chatted a bit and I went to her place, and again a really nice chat and fun. You know, sometimes you immediatelly connect with someone, everything goes on auto-pilot. But then I heard some rumors that she had a bf...
So I wanted to test the situation and stay low, see if she seeks any contact. Maybe I was seeing things that weren't there... I also happen to be good friends with one of her best girl friends. And she asked me how my visit was when I visited her place the first time. And I am not an idiot... this must mean that the girl I visited told her girl friend I visited her, so at least she must have liked it and she is not embarassed that i visited her.
So I though, well ok, let's test the waters a bit further. The bf rumours were btw confirmed by the girl friend, but apparently she only hook up after the first time me and this girl met at the pub, but before I visitied her place. But I can always say I do not know, if it is not on facebook, you are a single for me  So I sent her an email asking her if she had anything planned for the week and left my cell nr, hoping she would send/phone so I at least had her number (clever, no?). All right, success, the next day she sent me a message. So I phoned her if she was free @ weekend. She said we had plans on friday. All right, I was happy. But on thursday, she called me and asked me "is your offer for today still up? I can come over, wassup?". Weather was ok, so I bought us some beers and we went out and drank and had fun until 2AM or so. She never mentioned her BF a single time...
I saw her again in the weekend. Then things all of a sudden changed. I called her on monday and asked her if she would go to the cinema and she was really short on the phone and she said she was busy with schoolwork for the whole week. But 2 mins later she texted me "Saturday is ok". So I decided not to answer immediately, and 30 mins later she texted me again "I'd like to do something @ saturday, ok 4 you?". So i answered with some flirty message I can wait until saturday. On thursday she texted me asking if i was going to a festival this summer, I answered yes, she answered me she was also going and 'have fun in the basket' because she knew i was supportering @ a basket match. On saturday i called her again to do something. She answered me she was sick, but she would contact me when she was better.
Well guess what, she hasnt contacted me yet... I am *** confused.  I know she is teasy and has a big mouth when we talk, but is she just playing a game or is she just ignoring me and being nice to me... And why isnt she telling me "fuck off man, i have to fuck my bf, leave me alone"... btw, there are approx 4-5 weeks between the pub chat and today...
any suggestion welcome (but not 'fuck her in the ass')

A lot of girls who are in a relationship but are not completely happy with it, stay in that relationship (to feel secure) but lookout for something better.
Really annoying to get green light, red light...

Don't try to look for logic when a girl is involved in any way, there is none. Just go with the flow I'd say. Don't put too much effort in it if it isn't serious.

Don't ever act like she is your girl friend, act and behave like she is just a friend. That'll help you, if you are being used or beign used as a jealousy-bait.

yeah, i am not getting caught up or so, i am not 16 yr old anymore. Just a bit weird to have the feeling to have a real good connection and run into major surprises...
I just don't understand the behaviour. I was quite surprised to hear she had a boyfriend, I don't know the boyfriend, and I think she doesn't know I know she has a boyfriend. So I don't see how she can start playing the jealousy game, but I am off the radar for the time being. I'll see her at some parties in the summer...
maybe there is some weird 'girl logic' going on...

By jealousy-bait I meant this: she's behaving you good, spending time with you, acting all sincere, may be she has some problems with her boyfriend and she just wants to make him jealous by spending time with you, that's a probability, albeit with a low becoming-real-percentage.

She it not sure what she wants. She may have a boy "Friend" meaning that they are not exclusive. Or you may be in the friend zone. I say who cares, have fun, hang out, but don't go fall in love or anything. LMAO

I read somewhere that men and women have affairs for different reasons. Women 80% of the time do so because they are very unhappy and because something is wrong with the relationship. Men have affairs because they are usually quit happy with the relationship they have, their families but need Varity. I don't know. It is like natural selection or something.

Ask her if she has a bf and then ask what's the deal with you and her... Just friends or more.

I say - be straight-up. Tell her what u expect and why it cannot be (her bf) then turn around/finish the call. With a poker-face.
If she wants something she will definitely stop you, if not she didn't want anything. Just chat or make her bf jealous (or seek out someone else, just in case).

hah, well I guess someone really should explain me the 'chick logic'...
So I was off the radar for 2 weeks or so. And I had already given up the chase. But she kept sending texts now and then and initiating conversations on facebook chat/MSN. But well, I prefer real contact, because chatting is boring because well, I am on a pc 24/7 for the job. I don't want to get boners behind my screen  So I always kept those short.
Sooo, I after 2 weeks i called her again this weekend at some drunk night, yeah how classy, I know... But then I got an email the last day "You are amazing" (just needed to read that line to know where the email was heading...) "blablabla, let's be friends. I am very flattered, but you confuse me, I am already seeing someone, I think you already know that. You are making it difficult for me. But, please don't ignore me from now on, I still like you. Hope to see you soon"
blehbleh. that's just plain evil. I am not responsbile for my drunk behaviour when I am around her on some summer party. I can backoff if needed, after all, i am quite a gentleman... But that mail was not quite shutting the door completely.
Hah, I am starting to sound like TC01...
