I didn't think I could hate anything more than the wii, but MS has shown me otherwise. Pure garbage. Its got to fail, 3 years late and with a price like that. People that have a wii and dont use it wont go for this shit now
wow - i expected it to be around 250 to 300 myself. poke fun if you must but i'll be buying one for sure. i don't care for the driving cars or shooting guns, or that dumb ass little raft game but the exercise aspects of it are what have my attention.

I will finally get my girlfriend to play some games, i will get some much needed excercise and if the price drops to something like 150-200 including the console i can even see my parents buying one for videchat. I think the video chat will attract the most new customers. I know video chat has been around for ages and i can do it right now on my telly because my pc is hooked up to it, but it is much more comfortable with kinect, just wave say videochat and choose which one to chat with.
And I bet there will be some really cool games combining controller and kinect down the road.

There are a lot of false informations around. Kinect is a camera. It can detect as many bodies as it want. The only limit is the time it take to calculate each body so that it minimize lag. Kinect can do up to 4 players.

at that point I almost thought that the 150$ rumors were false and it's actually gonna be a good price....
should have known that when a microsoft guy says the price is gonna be awesome, then the price is gonna suck big time.
you guys really need to think outside the box on this one. if history repeats itself then yea this will be another failed bunch of bullshit. but the possibilities on it are actually pretty cool. i could be wrong about this but i think with kinect you'll pretty much be capable of doing what this guy did in an experiment. he works for microsoft so who knows. if you can't be bothered with watching the whole 4 min video then skip to around 2:30 seconds to see what he's on about
a prime example of this would be in a shooter you'll actually LEAN around a corner to see whats down the hall. there'll be lots of other shit to come of this too.
