Demo comes out today worldwide. Can play as either Italy or Spain
I can see why they've charged full price for it. Its got a ton of online stuff, 199 teams.
They've also added pressure on penalties (i.e. the more crucial the penalty, the harder it is to score).
Also, you can now chest a ball and turn with it.
There's a "dad" mode as well which reduces the control system down to 2 buttons, pass and shoot. The software works out what you need to do and does the rest, including sprinting.
Eurogamer did a hands on awhile ago.

ok,i've got a few questions,hope someone can help me with them..(Note: i already DL'ed FIFA 10 for PC,but thinkin of gettin the legit PS3 version)
-Is it true that there are free PSN Store articles for FIFA 10 that updates all (or partially) of the team's members to the latest real life player list or something?...for example,in FC Barcelona there's Messi...What if in some years messi's not on the FCB IRL?,would EA put a store article to update the in-game's FCB player list without messi? (Sorry for confusion,new to this...)
-Is it normal that when you do a free kick/Corner Kick or Side Throw,the game runs less than 60FPS?..on PC doesnt happens..
-Whenever you press the Shoot button (in goal keeper area or outside),on the PC version it fills up smooothly while you hold the shoot/Long pass/whatever button...i've tried the 360 version at a shop and i noticed it had like 4 squares without the bar filling slowly...like..instant..Is it true,or is there an option to change the way it fills?
-Are the controllers configurable and,incase of messin up wrong,be able to set em again on Default?..also,is there any Controller "TYPE A/B/C/D",aka controller pre-sets for playing?...if so,is there one similar to PES2010?
That's all for now..hope somebody can help me with these..Thanks in advance

Yeah squad updates are released weekly for ea live and normally a large update for the January transfer window

It's not as noticeable in 2010 , it was really noticable in 2009 though but yeah their can and will be occasional slow down at set pieces . More so at corners but its pretty much unnoticeable in 2010

Fills up Smoothly although if your playing online and its a wee bit laggy you will overhit the majority of the time , bloody fk's

yeah you can customise it pretty well , I normally Switch shooting / pressure to X and tackle / Lob to B button on xbox . Also switch player run and pace control round ( LT / LB )

So the Squad??.. are free?..from PSN or in-game store/update?...i never tought "Teams" (Madrid,Milan,Inter,Barcelona..) were called "Squads" ...Oo;;;;
i noticed about that
I'm not talkin about online...on FIFA 10 it fills smoothly,on the 360 i tested it fills in squares without the bar showin the fill...in my opinion..i mean at the bottom corners of the screen,NOT when you shoot a penalty (that's above the chara's head's bar)
I'm talkin PS3 related,juuust so you know...there were not a PS3 for test on the shop,that's why i ask ^^;

There are some slowdowns during cutscenes on ps3. Gameplay itself is fluid. Its same in ps3 demo of World Cup 2010. And in your place I'd rather wait for that one to come out.
First impressions after demo are very good.

No its not. As Nosmirchjgkjhghjg said, its an English term and has been around for over a century.
It comes about as we have Rugby Football and Football Association Football so they used the word Soccer to distinguish the two.
Lots of other countries use the term soccer for exactly the same reason. i.e. American Football, Austrialian Football etc.
Anyhow, back on topic. I'm looking forward to this. I love Fifa 10, and this is Fifa 10 with a few more bells and whistles. It felt slightly smoother and there was a few extra things that made me want it. I'll probably actually buy this game for the online stuff

99% of Australians call it soccer still , if you were to use the term "football" people would associate it with AFL

Depends on how much you're into football games. The demo plays a lot smoother than Fifa 10, lots of added extras (i.e. can chest and turn with the ball, keepers no longer rush out every time therefore chip shot is more limited).
The MP has been polished and streamlined. There's online worldcups which is a first which is the one thing that sold it to me.
If you're not that into football, nor football games then no its not worth the upgrade. If you are then yeah, its a slight step forward. Trade in Fifa 10 if needs be
