Hi all.

I'm helping my bro get a good laptop but need a bit of help?
His budget is £300 max, but want's it nearer £250.
He has to have wireless too, so obviously has to be a wireless laptop Cool Face
Any good ones about as he wants decent specs Smile

jesus man , go to some huge retailer and buy some i5 spec , you'll surely find one at that price.

Have a look at ASUS Eee PC 1201N with ION. They are good enough for internet and basic tasks, and with the ION, he has h264 acceleration that can play 1080p with no sweat. Wink

Well the netbooks are usually cheaper than normal laptops, although the better netbooks (like the dual-core ATOM + ION), but they really are great machines for the price. Smile

You really did post in the wrong section, all the useful replies you got here are the same people who lurk in the hardware section anyway Razz

At that budget you'll have to look very carefully, but the two linked above are pretty much what you should be looking for. Netbook will last longer on the battery, the other one is a bit faster but consumes more.

And just for the record, I don't think any laptop comes without WiFi these days. Not all have N, but they all have G Smile

Sorry I don't know any UK based hardware shop, but you should get this configuration anywhere for the price I mentioned, as the UK is mostly cheaper when it comes to mobile phones and PC hardware compared to germany Smile
