Hellhunter is a supernatural investigative hunting RPG, where you assume the role of a freelance hunter building your career towards uncovering the ultimate terror.
hope these punlishers accept and don´t shaft them too much as the game has potential, IF they don´t settle for a "the main campaign will take you insanely 6 to 8 hours to complete" cashgrab

renamed to HellSign because of Rebellion's trademark

First of all a big thank you to all of our fans for their great support so far, which has pushed us onward. This has helped us improve the upcoming launch, and given us belief in what we are creating. Everything is falling into place, with the addition of 100+ hunting gadgets + weaponry, 90+ skills and countless fierce enemies to test them on!
So as the title suggests, we have big announcement to make, and without further ado, we present the new name for our Investigation Hunting RPG, HellSign!
Why we changed the name?
Hellhunter is becoming HellSign due to trademark issues. Given out limited indie budget, we had two choices, buy the trademark and cut large amounts of content from the game, or change the name. Needless to say, we chose to change the name as we want to deliver the best gaming experience possible for our loyal fans.
Why we chose HellSign?
As our new best seller writer, C. Michael McGannon is constructing the gritty game universe with a mouth droppingly shocking bloody story. HellSign has quickly become a central element in the world, a cursed tattooed brand which allows hunters to tap into the supernatural, but at a great cost.
With your support, we will continue to push forward and better the game to create the best possible experience, as well as a breath of fresh air in the world of gaming and beyond.
The name change comes after the studio discovered that their childhood heroes Rebellion Developments – creators of Alien vs Predator and Sniper Elite – had trademarked the phrase ‘hell hunter’ in January 2017.
And now watch as they get sued for being similar in name to Hellsing instead, worse has happened though but eh hopefully this works out.
(The hell kinda generic TM is hell hunter though, oh well not the worst term to be copyrighted either I suppose.)
Ballistic Interactive's supernatural investigation RPG HellSign is a game that, regrettably, had completely slipped under my radar until it spirited into my inbox earlier today. Which is a shame because it sounds wonderful - and also happens to be heading to Steam Early Access on November 7th.
In HellSign, you take on the role of a freelance ghost hunter, set loose in a small but suspiciously well-haunted Australian town. From there, you can scan the map in search of spooky locations to explore, each one (it sounds like these are uniquely generated with each attempt) offering a contract to deal with a particular paranormal manifestation.
This Early Access version, incidentally, is said to be feature complete, and will include the first of three planned story chapters, three bosses, and 13 creatures to hunt - equating to around 10-12 hours of paranormal hijinks. The full game promises three story chapters, 12+ bosses and 25+ creatures, three or more job locations to explore, refined mechanics, and over 40 hours of play.
This is from the press newsletter I received today:
Early Access Launch Features:
Story mode - Chapter 1 of 3
3 bosses and 13 creatures to hunt
Gameplay feature-complete
10-12 hours of gameplay
Full Game Launch Features:
Story mode told over three chapters
12+ bosses and 25+ creatures to hunt
3+ job locations to investigate
Enhancements and tweaks to core gameplay
40 hours of gameplay

Combat is dependent on the dodge mechanic, and its a bit wonky atm. seems early level Creatures finishes their attack animations and hits you even if you time the dodging right.
Bottom line is that I ( and a lot of people if you check the steam forums) die ALOT from starting Level critters, which atleast got too frustrating for me. On top of that it felt like it lacked polish and could benefit from a lot of patching.
A pirate version of the beta is out, btw, for those of you who want to try more than 2 hours.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
