Electronic Arts has announced what certainly looks like its own take on LittleBigPlanet--a platformer with sandbox level creation named Create that's somewhat lacking in personality.

Create players can, ahem, create their own "level-based challenges" to solve, made with "easy-to-use brushes and tools, including textures, props and animating objects that bring the scene to life." Naturally, completing levels will earn you rewards and levels can be shared online.

"Create uses families' imaginations to develop new ways to play together that are both fun and challenging," said Harvey Elliott, general manager at developer EA Bright Light. "We wanted to design a game where the entire family can explore, decorate, and solve challenges where no solution is wrong and the only limit is the imagination."

Create is scheduled for release this November, with PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and Mac versions in the works. The PS3 edition will boast PlayStation Move features.

I despise these pathetic commercials where the person is shown in front of the TV (that isn't even on or even there) and he's acting like he's having so much fun while waving the Wii dildo and pretending to play the game.

From testing (Theta version released earlier.) it seems very much like a mix between Crazy Machines 2 and basic platforming elements in that you complete these (Really basic and often very easy, so far at least.) challenges in order to gain points ("sparks") to progress further and unlock new parts, twist being that said parts and other decorations can be used on the often very basic level background and such.

It's probably a good game if you're a bit younger, otherwise it might get a bit too simplistic.

Nothing fancy for the PC edition either but that's probably nothing unexpected. Smile

The first world is pretty much a tutorial, end of the second become much harder and much more "creative" because you have more object to play with. Not a bad game if you like incredible machine.

Christ, don't bother. This game is SHIT. Annoying fucking interface. UI tutorial windows over top of other game elements. Incredible Machine is way better than this. Hell, even that Crazy Machines 2 game ( ) is better than this.

well, i tried this game for 10 min. the interface is so backwards that it makes trying to doing anything very tiresome. i tried dropping a horse into the level and got no where fast in the time i spent 'playing.' Sad

anyway, this game goes to uninstall land. Smile
