Description:
Quote:

« Sherlock Holmes VS Arsene Lupin » Two of the greatest figures of detective literature are about to square off. Having grappled with the cult of Cthulhu in his last PC adventure The Awakened, Sherlock Holmes is now ready to challenge Arsène Lupin, the gentleman thief, invented by French writer Maurice Leblanc, and whose exploits have thrilled millions of readers worldwide.

This new Sherlock Holmes game sends us to 19th Century London where Arsène Lupin, a young French burglar with an impressive track record, has just challenged Scotland Yard and the most famous of detectives Sherlock Holmes.

Lupin has announced that he plans to rob the capital of five objects of immense value over the course of five days. The objects are housed in highly prestigious locations such as the National Gallery, the British Museum, the Tower of London and even Buckingham Palace!

Sherlock Holmes will have to muster all his courage and ingenuity to save England from terrible humiliation. As was so brilliantly achieved in The Awakened, this new adventure offers gamers tremendous freedom and an even stronger sense of involvement through real-time 3D.

The game invites you to visit 19th century London in all its splendour and to travel through superb decors which have been faithfully reproduced. With famous places and some of the most prestigious landmarks as your playing field, it is as if you are on your own guided tour of one of Europe’s most fabulous cities.

If the pace of the adventure and its many surprises leaves you breathless, take a break and enjoy looking at the hundreds of works of art all faithfully reproduced in their real locations.

« Features »
It’s the end of the 19th century and an amazing battle of wits and wills is going to take place between two great figures: Sherlock Holmes, armed with his experience, and Arsène Lupin armed with his wits. Will you be up to the challenge?

The magnificent city of London with all its most famous monuments (Buckingham Palace, the British Museum, the National Gallery, the Tower of London…), is faithfully created for the scenes of investigation.

Meet the Queen of England in a very private interview. Interact with more than 40 characters to further your enquiry. Take turns being the famous detective, Sherlock Holmes, and his faithful friend, Doctor Watson.

Uses the latest graphics technology, along with real-time 3D visuals, to provide total immersion and maximum thrills. Use and combine more than 100 objects and discover hundreds of clues and documents to help you bring the investigation to its conclusion.

4.5GB. Shocked Fuck me, the awakened was less than 2GB and the screenshots for this game don't look particularly more graphic intensive. Must be a longer game or something.

When the clone is mounted, game is only 1.2 GB in size, and there is a mini image at GCW.

Just mount the mini image in DT 4.11 Lite.

It seems like a pretty alright game, one thing that annoys the shit out of me is how Watson keeps teleporting himself in an instant when you turn around.

Anyway, I'm a little stuck here, in the first time you visit the Gallery.

yeah this game is crap , the last one was great - loved the horror climate

this one is kinda awkward because you aren't Sherlock but Watson and other persons , riddles are plain stupid like : read a letter , then find a bookshop , then find a book , then play with anagrams , write with the keyboard the right answer , then find map of London (another book , then CALL IT A BOOK NOT A FRIKING MAP) , then play with the map , check all , say ship , check the new riddles of Lupin , play with some stupid pictures to make a letter S ... and so on

this game lost its touch , its boring and not interesting , they turned this game into crap

"Darkness Within" from Lighthouse is more interesting then tis game

Hmm, This game has been Re-released as a Remastered version jut like Sherlock Holmes - The Awakened.
Strange it hasn't been cracked and released yet since it has been available to buy from Frogwares own download store since 05/12/10.

Ps. According to the linked page, the next Sherlock Holmes game is coming soon, it's "The Hound of the Baskervilles" Yay! Smile
