Old
Intel Core i5 4460
Corsair Vengeance CML8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
ASUS GeForce GTX 970 DirectCU Mini OC 4GB
Silverstone GD06B USB3.0 Micro ATX Case
ASRock H97M-Pro4 Motherboard
Silverstone Strider 550W Gold

New
GTX1080

The old is what is currently sitting in it, the new is what I have on the way already.

Would a Vive work with a 4460 + 8GB RAM? From what I can find, it *should* get by but if not I'd rather sort it before Christmas (the Vive unit is a gift for someone)

Thanks!

Well the old one is basically what I have and I had no issues playing oculus games at all, though sometimes I wish I had a more powerful graphicscard to go for higher resolutions in more demanding games like PCars 2 and better AA to get rid of shimmering pixels. And with the 1080 you solve that problem, so I'd say that system should be good for VR PC Master Race
