According to a press release that's just popped through our virtual letterbox: "Batman: Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security 'home' for all of Gotham City's thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds.
"Set inside the heavily fortified walls of a sprawling district in the heart of Gotham City, this highly anticipated sequel introduces a brand-new story that draws together a new all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe, as well as a vast range of new and enhanced gameplay features to deliver the ultimate experience as the Dark Knight." |

I know, to far away!!!! AA was so unbelievable! Now it's going to be bigger, with more baddies OMG! Already GOTY and it's over a year away. This is awesome news regardless of how far away it is. Rock Steady deserves as many accolades at it can receive for AA.

if it's still inside gotham.. why not call it such then?
do they think we're so retarded we can't connect the two without ARKHAM in the name?

Yeah, one of the trailers/teasers show Arkham Asylum has been moved in the city. I guess that's what they mean.

yea, i get that.. but 'arkham city' actually means something
the whole name 'arkham asylum' was a tribute to h.p. lovecraft's insanity themed literature that had an 'arkham city' in it

You know that awesome asylum we got on that island over there so all the crazy psychos can't come to the city? Yeah, we moved it. Into the city.
