The synopsis sounds pretty... meh, but yeah the trailer looked decent. Definitely would be good to have some new shows to watch along with the already established shows (I regularly watch only a handful; Sons of Anarchy, Dexter, South Park, Big Bang Theory, House and Breaking Bad).
This seem to be about some captured Aliens that are in captivity by the CIA or some time travels from the future that have come to the past to advise mankind about a specific event.

As long as it's not another Lost - where it felt like the writers themselves had no fucking clue to what half the mysteries ment or why it was that way. And with so much open-ended material that was supposedly to be "interpreted by yourself" that it seemed improvised sometimes...
But that's just me I guess..

I know you ment the trailer as the series not started yet..so no need to be a smart arse.
But you still assume too much. It's not like if everyone here has bothered to remember your opinion on heroes. Just like with everyone else.
But since you mention Heroes - i personally loved the first season...the second one started ok but went so much downhill that I never bothered with the third one.

Terry O'Quinn has signed on to star in NBC's new show The Event, starting this fall.
Quinn, best known for his role as John Locke on the ABC hit series Lost, will take on the role of a mysterious government official who will act as a guide of sorts to the show's protagonist Thomas (played by Clifton Collins). But he seems to know more than he's letting on...
"The Events... They all happen for a reason. When I was presented with the pilot script as well as the makers' ideas for where they want to go from there, I just knew I wanted to do this. The role I will be playing is a chance to do something new for me, personally, and to work with some of the best people in the business. It's really a fantastic show and a fantastic opportunity."
It is unknown at this time whether Quinn's role will be part of the main cast or a recurring guest role.

Taken was really bad like most sci-fi shows i've watched. Only good sci-fi show i've watched is BSG, at least the only one i can think of I kind of liked Lost (havent watched the latest 2 seasons though).
This trailer looked decent, lots of different locations at least, and i like that the "love story" part makes me puke a bit though..
Im concerned this is another future flash foward pile of doo doo.. is someone trying to make something off of 911 type events and terrorists linked to some future doofs needing to turn the tide of shit or can i expect something alot more sci-fi..
Is there anyplace that lets more info about this show out or is it another watch it till you get more idea then decide to continue or not?
