|
 |
Spoiler: | |
Synopsis:
Quote: | BioShock Infinite is a first-person shooter currently in development at Irrational Games, the studio behind the original BioShock (which sold over 4 million units worldwide). Set in 1912, BioShock Infinite introduces an entirely new narrative and gameplay experience that lifts players out of the familiar confines of Rapture and rockets them to Columbia, an immense city in the sky.
Former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt has been sent to rescue Elizabeth, a young woman imprisoned in Columbia since childhood. Booker develops a relationship with Elizabeth, augmenting his abilities with hers so the pair may escape from a city that is literally falling from the sky. DeWitt must learn to fight foes in high-speed Sky-Line battles, engage in combat both indoors and amongst the clouds, and harness the power of dozens of new weapons and abilities. |

Ken Levine, but sounds like a rehash of the story in Bioshock 2, where you had to rescue one specific girl. Only now it's in the clouds

What do you mean they ran out of ideas? |
I wonder if it'll still be art deco as well, that would be a problem seeing as the game takes place in 1912 and art deco wasn't "invented" until 1920.
But who am I kidding, a flying town held up by a few zeppelins....wat. How do they account for structural integrity with all this moving around and swaying in the wind when it's brick buildings which probably weigh a couple million tonnes as well.

I am thinking more a steam-punk setting would fit a lot better.

He's mentioned but I don't know if Ken is active in the project aside from that, not much to go on as it was just revealed.

(As was posted in the Bioshock 1 thread long ago they wanted to make it a franchise and now they've done so, at least it's not yearly like CoD or such to use a popular example.)

This looks so fucking dumb. Keep remaking the same fucking game and add something crappy in the way.

They should try space next time; Space is more dangerous than water; plus it's a good place for any "anti-social" community.
