So Im gonna sell my Audi A3 2004 1.6l. Im looking for something with a bigger engine, been looking at an audi a3 07 1.8 TFSI which is really what im looking for. The problem is its very hard to find a decent 1.8l in sweden and so i was looking for some alternatives.
Been looking at Mitsubishi Lancer 1.8l t, seems to be a nice value car with good power and good price. Anyone currently driving a newer Lancer or has any experience with Mitsubishis in particular?
Im looking for a comfortable everyday car which is still abit fun to drive and with some personality.

Loved my old galant. The old ones where proper japanese tho. The new Lancer looks pretty sweet, but you wont fool anyone to think its an evo, but then again I guess thats not why you're buying it^^

Dont really know about diesels but they seem to be slower than regular engines. I've seen a few audi a3s with 1.9l with turbo diesel engines but they only produce around 100 bhp.
Civics are butt ugly, type-r is ok but get annoying to get out and in off after a while and they seem a bit childish to me.
I'd rather get a mitsubishi than a mazda. Never liked em much.
Been looking at golfs but at that price range id much rather get an audi a3.

what the hell , what pricerange is this ? or you've been looking for a MK6 Golf ?
well , your 1.6 A3 should be at around 100hp , most 1.8 engines use turbo nowadays.
You could get a great 2.0 TFSI MK5 GTI for a 07 Audi , up to 15k E with mostly everything on it with less than 80k km
Diesel's are also nice , give a Mk5 TDI GT or any VW TDI with a 140hp , are pretty great engines , even the older gen TDI (with DI red) are great

Don't automatically expect a diesel to be cheaper/better - the tax on diesel cars are ridiculous here, and diesel is more expensive than regular 95 octane gasoline.
If you use the car to commute, and don't have that long to go every day, a gasoline car can cost you less over a year than a diesel.

frankly , i aint keen on diesels , hate the noise and prefer petrol cars since they're cheaper to maintain , 30e on spark plugs instead of 100 is quite a difference , but as i said , i'm impressed by some diesel engines .. oh and gas prices are equal , about 1.10e per liter (95 unleaded and diesel is very slightly more expensive) .
Most people here are keen to buy diesel since fuel efficency is better even tho they'll pretty much pay the difference once they're having mechanical work

Indeed, a friend has just recently bougjht himself the 1.4 TFSI Scirocco. Fun car! Modern interiour, looks sporty, handles good, is pretty quick for being just a 1.4 (twincharged though, both turbo and a Roots-type supercharger).

Yeah I've been looking at the 1.4l audi and golfs. Especially the Golf GT uses both supercharger and a turbo which gives it 170 bhp.
Damn that scirocco looks cool, abit expensive for me but very sexy.
