i just got a new xbox machine, with iextreme LT in it, and i was just wondering if i still need to patch my games before i play them or not? thanx in advance

Nope, iXtreme LT has no wave restrictions, so every game you download; you can simply burn and play.

and one more question, how safe is the iextreme LT online, i mean on xbox live, some games i would like to play online, do i need to do something extra with the games or what?

Nothing is 100% safe, regardless of what C4Eva says about LT firmware. If you flash; you run the risk of being banned. You can *try* to minimise that risk by doing the standard stuff; don't play games pre-release, always run through ABGX360 to check integrity, apply any SSV2 patches you might need, blah blah blah.
