alot of looneys in those comments, i like how someone actually considers possession as something real, it's like believing in invisible guy, then again most ppl are not so bright
What I dont get is this sabin guy (from here?) that gets all itchy over the whole god issue, but believes in ghosts.. I mean.. come on. Dont tell others to stop believing in god when you self believe in something unproven also.

@LeoNatan25 Possessions? I'm not so sure about those, but I definitely believe in ghosts since I've had first-hand accounts with plenty.
Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.
We can all pretty much agree there must be some source of all this creation which we can't describe in one comedy novel such as Bible or Qur'an. Ghosts seem to be common experiences, equally metaphysical like when someone hovers over himself over an operating table, etc. You can't dismiss those. It's been reported way to many times to be ignored.
Religion and g0d/supernatural - two separate things, IMO.
Why are they two separate things? They are both something people believe in without any real proof. You learn about ghosts as a child, same with religion most times - Its created in your mind from a early early stage of your life. Thats another common factor.
I could probably find as many "holy" moments "reported" as you can sling your ghost "reports" to me. Doesnt make any of them more true.
I dont look down on people that think either way, but don't spit on people that believe in one of the two when yourself is on the other side of the fence. Thats my issue with the whole thing.

All I'm saying is that religion describes g0d like a known entity and acts like it knows how g0d works and what it wants. This is obviously utter bullshit and most of us agree on that. But a lot of us that do also think that there might be a possibilityi of a force completely unexplainable, unimaginable and not necessarily intelligent that is somehow responsible for the universe which could also be related to supernatural experiences people sometimes report (Bread Jesus excluded).

You want to know the difference? I never force my belief down someone's throat, I never spam YT videos or forums with bullshit about ghosts and how you're all going to burn in hell if you don't believe in ghosts. I never threatened to cut someone's head off, calling them an infidel, if they don't believe in my ghosts. I never make attempts on people's lives, forcing them to install PANIC ROOMS in their own homes, just because they drew a picture of a ghost.
I never mention my belief. Not ever. I don't go on about it, I never bring it up, and I never force people to believe as I do. It's a personal thing that I keep to myself because I know the majority of the world don't believe as I do, and it's a pain having to explain everything.
That's the difference. Religion is a crock of shit, just a form of control as you all scramble to worship some mythical being in the sky, killing and maiming those that don't agree with your beliefs.
*shakes head* I know, I saw it, I ignored it. Ridiculous concepts of which I have no knowledge or opinions about, so discussing it would just drag the whole thing out into some contrived mess :\ I'm an agnostic at heart; I believe what I can see, or has been proven.

True, but something being unexplainable such as ghosts, and out of body experience, do NOT need a supernatural component to have an explanation to why they are. jsut because we dont know yet does not make it supernatural.
to do so would be following the same lines of thoughts thru-out the ages that has been disproven time and time again, when current society could not explain something, they attributed it to 'supernatural' reason.
The sun moving across the sky is a god
what the sun is itself, its a fiery chariot
comets are the bringer of doom tellers
stars are your ancestors watching over you
earthquakes are that you angered the earth god
thunder and lightning is some guy throwing lighting bolts at his enemies
hell recent timeline...'UFO' people swear they was alien crafts..when its been proven some of them was secret military projects, asteroids, electrical discharges..etc (not saying they are all explained. mearly showing the tendency to jump to conclusions based of stories heard from others)
the list goes on and on..
all of them are examples of people going "we don't know what it is, but we are MANKIND I R SMART! i knowz everything! so there must be some other worldly complicated explanation that involves things outside of our laws of nature we assume"
ghosts, so called ESP, 3rd person experiences are nothing more than along the lines of those.
mankind in his infinite stupidity and ego, assuming hes smart enough to know everything, and anything he cant explain MUST require supernatural forces we can never explain.
thats my take on it, every 100 years, we look back and say how dumb the people 100 years ago was for what they believed in, that we now know as common knowledge to be wrong.
in 100 years, people will look back on us, saying the same thing.
jsut dont fall in to that human fallecy of the pattern above, and take folk lore of what mankind ahs built up over the ages, and apply it as a fact..when the definition of a fact requires proof.
ghosts are nothing more than a version of UFO's...something that someone couldn't explain with their own personal knowledge. so relying on old world folk tales of similar circumstances and calling it a "ghost'. when in fact there is no proof that the folk lore was true, so why apply its conclusion to you own?
it fits my favorite thing to say "lack of information spurs the imagination" that I always keep telling people trying to explain things they have no knowledge of, or just enough knowledge to be dangerous and wrong with it.
